Hey Kook,
OK, I have to ask this question...can you tell me about the yodeling record in your siggie? I keep wondering. :rotfl:

Also, I have learned more helpful tips on the BWI thread. Thanks for all your hard work! :goodvibes

Thank you!!!! I am over the moon excited about our trip!!! I have always wanted to stay at WL and staying CL is a great bonus. But, as I had mentioned before, DH and I are just so used to being conservative with our finances, so to treat ourselves like this takes some getting used to!!! It's humbling to know how far we have come I think. We wanted to stay at WL for our honeymoon 10 years ago, but couldn't afford it, so stayed at All Star Sports (and were incredibly grateful for that!!!), we've grown so much, and having been with him for the past 18 years (yeah, since I was 15), I guess I am just very happy where we are at in our lives. Sorry, I'm getting emotional and sappy, and I think that was part of my breakdown the other day...we've worked so hard to get to where we are, so taking the opportunity to capitalize on that is exciting and scary at the same time. I know to some people staying at the WL (or any of the deluxes) is no big deal, but to me it really is...to us, it represents alot. Silly I know.
Not silly at all and I think your anniversary trip will be filled with great meaning and memories. When it's your 20th anniversary, you'll be saying, "Remember when we stayed here for our 10th anniversary?";)

I understand what you are saying .... and staying at WL is a big deal to us also. The only way we haved stayed deluxe is because a few years ago we got a little bit of money and since it was unexpected we wanted to treat ourselves therefore we purchased DVC. Withput DVC we'd be staying value or offsite .... and maybe a mod now and then with a good discount. Enjoy your trip .... it is perfect!!!! :goodvibes

Not silly at all! I totally understand about being thoughtful with the finances. Careful planning and budgeting makes the vacation much more fun. :goodvibes
Looking forward to hearing about all your wonderful experiences at WL! :cool1:

I keep wondering, too!:rotfl2:. I just love that couple so much and the fact that they're yodeling in "Hi-Fi" AND playing the accordion - I could picture them at Biergarten! Must have been a hot album back in the day.

Oh, thank you, Virginia! I'm glad you've found the BWI thread helpful.

We understand. In fact, I've been having trouble dealing with the fact that it's our 25th in August so this next trip has me feeling unsettled. I feel like it needs to be different or extra special since it's our 25th, but I haven't really done anything at all regarding that and I'm still fussing over our split stay before WL. That part will be during our actual anniversary and I still don't feel it's "special" - we've stayed at the CR many times - but that makes it comforting, too.

Our actual anniversary is 6/15, so we arrive at the WL exactly 1 month after that. :goodvibes I was actually looking through the In-Room Celebration ideas, and saw the HERO one...I'm thinking about it...:scratchin

Maybe you could do one of those??? Do you have any interest in GF at all? I think GF RPC would be extreme special-ness!!!

Just made our change from POR RR River view to WL woods view. It was about $750 more, but I think it will be worth it. We are staying 6 nights during Thanksgiving week.

:welcome: to the DIS and the RC thread!

How exciting - congratulations. Hope to see you on the WL thread soon! If you request a North Wing/high room, you can see some of Wishes;)

Welcome! I do suggest that you follow the link in kook signature to the WL thread. Wonderful thread and very nice folks there! Lots of good information too!!! :goodvibes

Pricing, pricing, pricing...looking for my best deal for me and the girls in October!!! DH gave a budget of $1500...with a LM room, airfare and MNSSHP tickets, we are at $1454 for 4 nights...we don't need to eat while we are down there right??? :rotfl2:

Christine, you are also in my thoughts and prayers.

We love you both :grouphug:

I have to say to everyone, I have only met a couple of you but feel you all are family. This is a wonderful group of ladies and I feel so blessed to have gotten to know all of you. :grouphug:

On a lighter note...

Minnie&Nana, Janet filled me in on a January excursion. I am hoping to join, if so, you and I will have a date for quality balcony time!!!!

Aw, thank you, Sarah. We really all feel like family here....a very special group....and I am so glad you came over and joined us.

Think Janet said she emailed you the details of the January trip! Hope it fits in with your schedule...isn't that the time of year you and DH sometimes visit? Maybe it would be a perfect time again. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Good Morning RCers! Not awake enough here for a multiquote so I'll just do the best I can!

Christine and Sheila you are both in my thoughts. You are both strong women and as sad as it is you will make it thru this weekend.

. Christine are you really seriously thinking about moving to FL?

Sarah how wonderful if you could make the Jan trip! But don't forget there's one more balcony loving RCer here! I'm sure there's room for another chair! Or I'll just ride around on boats all day!

 Thank you, Linda.

DD and sil are seriously considering a move to FL - they love the mild winters here and do not want to go back to New England, but do want to be near family for Sophia. Michael's sister, DH and 2 kids (11 & 13 ish) live on the east coast of FL and one of Mia's closest friends lives in Seminole (St Pete area) - she has a little one (Lena Sophia :) ) who is just 4 mos younger than Sophia and a little boy who is less than 2 yrs older...so it would be nice for both of them. These two think so alike....they met when studying in Florence and became roommates when they stayed on for an extra couple of months.

BOATS!!!:cloud9: I will ride the MK resort water launches all day, any day...and you'll know where to find me! ::yes::

Grumpy Grandma, balconies and boats . AND you are a coffee lover like me !

Darn...never had a cup of coffee in my life.... would coffee ice cream count???? ::yes::

Yes to all three!!! So hope January works out for everyone!!! :grouphug:

So far it is looking very good! :cool1:

Can anyone explain to me why I have so much travel health and beauty aids??? Yesterday I was sorting it all out and could not believe how much there was!!! It's heavy and it takes up so much room! Do I really need it all? Wish I could just get it down to the bare minimum! :confused3

I try so hard to keep it to the minimum...and I don't wear lipstick, only a natural lip-gloss, do not use eye shadow, eye liner etc....so how I can have so much???:confused3

GG, I totally understand. I try to pare it down, but it's so hard. Each time I gather my small army of travel sized products together I always smile and remember what my Mom used to jokingly say, "Lipstick, powder, paint, makes a girl look like what she ain't."

:rotfl2:

Okay, who ISN"T moving to FL?! Does it count that I used to live there? It's going to be one, big RC party down there soon - unless you all change to a different state...

I used to live there too! Where were you back when? :)

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! I will be traveling to St. Louis this evening to visit family. I will miss you guys! I will be back Monday night though! :goodvibes

Enjoy your weekend, Hannah, and safe travels! :goodvibes

It will be a beautiful, though crowded, time of the year. All the holiday decorations will be up at the parks and resorts, and WL will be especially beautiful! Enjoy! Definitely make your way over to the WL FAQ thread hosted by our KOOK - she has oodles of fabulous info and the folks who hang out over there are some of the nicest on the DIS (much like us and the POP FAQ.:goodvibes)

Hello, my RC family!! For those who will be busy or away, have a wonderful holiday weekend with your friends and family...and for those of us who will be hanging out at home...see ya around here. :grouphug:

Make sure you have your anniversary noted in your reservation pixiedust:

I did have RPC booked - at one time, so that's a great suggestion, Candace, but I changed it. It's the most expensive standard room on property, but I didn't feel excited about the flowery room decor (bedspreads, bad mattresses and thin walls) and the DVC construction. I wish they could transplant RPC into the CR! We love their modern decor and of course we love a rustic, woodsy decor, too;)

I did book the Wild Africa Trek on our anniversary. It has gotten rave reviews and should be memorable and unique.

Free Dining perhaps?

We were stationed in Key West in the 90's.

OK, that one got my attention - you've never drank coffee - ever? Would it be too personal to ask why?

Christine small world .... my DD also did a study abroad in Florence. She also decided to extend her time but moved to London with some of the staff from her program.

Deena and our Christine both moving to FL. I could not be happier for you guys.

DeenaGood luck with the Dr Appt today

Hope everyone has a good Memorial Day Weekend, not a good time for us , the son I lost in February was Married 5 years ago on Memorial Day.

Sending you a big big

Awww....sweet toddlers trying to help!!;)

Thank goodness for more time off that days at work! Just vent here all you need to and let us help hold you up. :grouphug:

When do you leave for your weekend getaway? :yay:

Oh, Sheila...I am so very sorry.

Now holidays are a time to get through...even after all these years my first thought about Memorial Day is Toby...and I wish I could be there to take him flowers this weekend.

My mother's birthday is often on Memorial Day...and I think of my parents so far away at Abramham Lincoln National Cemetery - no way to have flowers delivered, but this weekend the government will have a flag on every grave.

Love you, dear, Sheila. :grouphug:

And a big one for you too

It is not silly, and I am right there with you! There is something that makes you look back, when you can get ahead. I still can't believe that we made the dream come true to even get to WDW, and now we are going back for our 3rd time in three years! I know alot of you ladies have been many many more times then that, so you know how special it is to come back year after year.

BTW We are officially paid off today!! YIPEE!!:banana::banana:
