as the playground turns, another chapter

apparently what happened between my dd and Amber at the party yesterday was not well-known. today at school a lot of people asked my dd why she wasn't at Amber's party. she gave them the reason, and told them "but I was with a true friend instead and had a wonderful time."


now Amber's going around telling people that of course my dd was invited, there must have been some misunderstanding.

yes, there was a misunderstanding -- Amber thought my dd was so depserate to be Amber's friend that she'd put up with Amber's abuse.

I'm glad my girls haven't gotten to this stage though my kindergarden did say one day her friend wasn't her friend anymore. By the next day they were friends again

today at graduation, dd was sitting in the front row. towards the end of the graduation she signals to us that she has a stomachache. during the reception, Amber and her mother came over to my older dd to ask if younger dd was feeling ok. Amber acted as if nothing had happened between her and dd. real toot, indeed.
