As far as 3-1-1 goes, is hair mousse a liquid?

Trying to plan my carry-on, and not sure if mousse is a liquid or gel. I mean, it's NOT, but as far as the TSA goes, what do they think?
I've looked, and can find nothing on their website.

I'm going to try and find a travel size hairspray, but I don't think I've ever seen travel size mousse :confused3

Thanks!

I found a John Freida Travel size mousse I think either at CVS or Walmart. It is labeled for curly hair -I do have wavy hair. It was a nice mousse.

Thanks! I have been using John Frieda, so I will look for it on my next CVS run :thumbsup2

Hair Mousse is a liquid until you dispense it, so unless you have one that is 3.1 ounces or less you cannot take it through TSA.

Sounds like you may have found a travel size so you should be ok.

A great way I learned right here to determine wether something is a liquid or is not. If it doesn't hold it shape when outside of a container, it is considered a liquid for TSA purposes. Mousee would be considered a liquid.

Btw, I have the same mousse that I use for travel.:thumbsup2

PP is correct. My ex-BF is a TSA officer, and that is the exact rule they use to determine if something is subject to the 3-1-1 rule.
