DH is taking me(just me and him.YAY!) to WDW for my 25th birthday. I really want it to be special because since I've been married and had kids its kinda like my birthdays are nothing but a day to get older and I'm always a little down on my bday because it seems no one takes notice. :sad1: I know, waa waa. Anyway, would you get a birthday button? Do you think I'll get weird looks and smart remarks from CMs? I've never had much luck with good CMs.

I saw lots of adults with birthday buttons on and even started a conversation with one lady who was wearing one and come to find out she lives an hour from me.

It's your birthday and you celebrate however you wish. It's time for mommy to be the kid! :bday:

My DH got one this past year. Alot of CMs wished him "Happy Birthday". Rafiki even made a big deal out of it. When my DD was getting the autograph he came running over to my DH, shook his hand, and posed for pics - and then went back to my DD. It was cute.
He also got free deserts from the sit-down restaurants we went to. He never asked, nor pointed out his button. The deserts just showed up at the end. Bad thing for him is that he's diabetic and couldn't eat them. :( But I certainly enjoyed them. ;)

Go ahead and get your button!! Enjoy. And Happy Birthday!! :rose:

Definetly get a birthday button. DW did this on our last trip to celebrate her b-day and she had a blast. All of the CM's wished her happy b-day. The trash can Push sang happy b-day to her and we got to go through the handicapped entrance for one ride, by-passing the stand-by line, compliments of one of the CM's at that ride. She said it was one of the best b-day's she has ever celebrated and she's 36. The characters also acknowledged the button in her autograph book. Don't be shy about your b-day, celebrate it Disney style. The memories will be even more magical.

I plan on getting one in August for my birthday. It's my 40th and I'm planning to make it the birthday party I've always wanted.

I'm in agreement with all the other posters -- get one, wear it, and have fun! I honestly cannot believe that you'd get anything other than wonderful feedback on your special day!

I just got back from my 40th birthday celebration at WDW, and yes, I wore the birthday button. People were very nice and wished me a Happy Birthday all day. There was one lady in line that asked me if it really was my birthday(yes, it really was). We ate at Cinderella's for lunch, and even Cinderella herself wished me a Happy Birthday! It was the best birthday ever! So, yes, WEAR THE BUTTON! ::yes:: :bday:

Amanda,

Absolutely get a Birthday Button! My birthday is right before Christmas and we have been several times around my birthday but only once on my birthday. I decided my birthday was special too! It was the best day I have ever had at Disney!! Castmembers are wishing you Happy Birthdya all day long. People standing in line will wish you a Happy Birthday, its great. I espcially liked getting to ride at the front of the Rocking Roller Coaster! (again and again and again!!) But my farvorite memory is at the Haunted Mansion. From the moment we walked up it was great. Once we were in the circular room a castmember came up form behind and in a creepy voiced wishe me a Happy Birthday and expressed his condolences at it being my last then walked away laughing manically! It made the hair on my arms stand up! It was great! Then everycast member I encountered made a Birthday comment in their morbid way. My darling boys were loving it. After the ride was over I thanked the cast members for making it such a fun experience. We walked out and one of them followed me. And I mean he was right behind me by inches. When I would stop he would stop. When I began walking he would be right behind me, he would not stop even when I said thanks that was great! (stopped several time to try and get rid of him) Everyone was cracking up. When we got to the entrance gate of the Haunted Mansion I stopped, he stopped, I thanked him and said it had been the best B'Day ever, he just stared straight ahead and did not speak. He followed me all the way to the President's Hall before he stopped, and then he stood there and stared at me until we went around the bend in Frontier Land. I thought my boys and hubby were going to bust a gut. Other visitors were giggling too. I still have that button and I keep it in my jewelry drawer, it is one of the best time I have had with my family and the cast members.

Get the button!!!

Yes yes yes! I did it a couple years ago and plan on doing it again this year. It is so fun and sometimes you get a little "extra magic"

definitely get a button! ::yes:: i got one for my 21st birthday and had a blast, got some free desserts, lots of bday greetings, and the best part was when a trio of musicians stopped me in fronteirland and serenaded me! we are going in may for DBF's 24th and i'm going to make him wear one too :goodvibes

I was at WDW for my 25th birthday last year. I did get the birthday button, but only wore it on the day of my actual birthday. I'm sure it would have been fine to wear it on other days, but I felt weird with strangers wishing me a happy birthday when it wasn't actually my birthday, but that's just me

I have seen lots of adults with buttons. I would wear it and plan to in December.
I had a hard time getting DH to wear one though. ;)

Heck yeah, I'd get one! My hubby had his birthday while we were there and the first thing that day was get him a button. Everybody is a kid at Disney World!

Absolutely get one! I would love to go on my birthday (will be 41 on my next one), but it falls right smack dab in the middle of Spring Break season (March 7th), so I doubt it'll ever happen.

I plan on getting one when I turn 45 on Feb 26th. Does anyone know if they have anniversary buttons? Our anniversary is the next day!

ABSOLUTELY GET IT! WEAR IT!

I'm jealous you get to go for your birthday to WDW. My bday is in late September, so I doubt I'll ever go then. It's too darn hot for me to even consider going to WDW then and then there is those hurricanes...

Yes! In fact, I did on my birthday last year. It was great! Don't feel bad - you're at Disney where everyone is a kid-at-heart!

Oh you should go in Sept. The heat really isn't that bad, not compared to July and Aug. and there are no crowds. The hurricanes just make for a less crowded WDW. We love it in Sept.
