As an adult, do you call your Aunt/Uncle by their first name only?

Most of my Aunts and Uncles have past on now, mainly due to cancer, but I still call my surviving relatives Aunt or Uncle *first name*. My sister just calls them by their first name.

I call DH's aunts and uncles by first name only. Mine I say Aunt _____ or Uncle ______.

Only one uncle (and I'm his only niece). I call him Uncle First name. However, I fully expect my niece and nephews (esp. given there's at most a 15 year age gap) to drop the Auntie/Aunt Heather at some point.

I still call them Aunt and Uncle. I can't imagine changing that now. :)

Nope, they're still Uncle Bob, Aunt Penny, Uncle Gary, and Aunt Germaine to me. I would feel disrespectful calling them something else.

I call most of my Aunts & Uncles By their title Aunt Winnie & Uncle Larry.

I even call my DH's relatives Aunt ____ and Uncle _____. I guess it's not out of respect, but just who they are to me.

Most are just their first names. However I one uncle that I call Uncle Dennis. I don't know why, but he's just always been Uncle Dennis. Everyone else is just their name:confused3

First name only. I didn't even say Aunt ___________ or Uncle __________ when I was a kid..... except for my Aunt Bobby and Uncle Jim. I never thought about it before; I have no idea why I only used the title with them??? :confused3

No. I am 37 and I still call my "Auntie Ida" "Auntie Ida". :)

I always used first name, even as a kid.

Then again, we did not live near any of them and rarely saw them.

Mine are mostly all Aunt ___ and Uncle ___. I have one aunt that is only about 9 years older than me. People usually guess that she is my older sister. She is the only one I call by her first name. She prefers it that way as well.

My young nieces call me Aunt ______ or Missy. That's thanks to my mom who is always going "Listen Missy". They get a kick out of it and call me that too.

Mine are Aunt or Uncle ______.

But my hubby's family is a bit different. He has a brother who is only 15. That boy is an uncle to a 17 year-old and a 14 year-old. So, they certainly don't call him Uncle _____.

There is only one uncle I call by just his name. He's only 10 years older than I am and told me I didn't need to call him Uncle.

DH only uses first names with his family (always has, even as a kid).

I still call them Aunt ___ and Uncle ____, my sister (she's older) calls them by their first name. She also doesn't want my kids (ages 6&8) to call her Aunt either.

First name only. Our family didn't even say Aunt _ or Uncle _ when I was a kid. My DH still uses Aunt _ and Uncle _

DH & I (50+ & 60+) still call his only surviving uncle "Uncle ____" My children call all of their aunts and uncles "Aunt____ or Uncle___" and my nieces and nephews know better than to try and call me by my first name alone. I called my aunts and uncles "Aunt __& Uncle____" until the day they died.

There are hundreds of people who can call me by my first name; only my nieces and nephews can call me Aunt.

I still say Aunt __ or Uncle __ as does my sister. My brother just calls them by their first names.
