Can anyone tell me about this? We are going to be enjoying our first stay at the WL and so I thought this would be a nice dinner to have. We aren't on the DDP. What are some great items? How's the wine selection? I particularly like sweet wine :) any good wines to suggest? How did you like it? Worth the money? :) Any thoughts, opinions welcome! Thanks!!

Artist Point is one of my very favorite restaurants in WDW. Atmopshere and food are great. Extensive wine selection, to answer your question. Ask to be seated at one of Gary's tables, he's an awesome server :thumbsup2 and will let you try a wine before you buy if you are not sure.

Thanks for the search advice. I tried that but just kept getting errors! Very frustrating and I knew there had to be tons of posts about it. Thank you for the link!

Thanks for the hint - I'm adding this to my notes! I'm excited about this choice I think this will be our "fanciest" Disney meal to date.

One of the top three restaurants in WDW in mine and DW's book! :thumbsup2

Artist Point is our favorite restaurant at Disney.
DH does not like mushrooms, but I do and the Mushroom soup is awesome!!! We both have tried several things, but our favorite it the Cedar Plank Salmon, you can ask for any side to be switched with the designated one, DH loved sweet potatoes, so he usually orders that with his. Then we top off the meal with the Berry Cobbler, although we have not tried any of the other desserts, so can't compare. They used to have the Berry Cobbler for two, which we liked, so it's kind of a sentimental favorite for us even though now they've made them single serving.
The have a very nice wine list and are very helpful about choosing. DH enjoys beer and they also have some nice beers. Enjoy!!!

Adding "ask for Gary" to my notes too!!! Thanks!

We are going there in Oct.. Any tips on what to order?

OP, I've read that AP has a large wine selection from the North West. ( One of the reasons we are going to try AP!) For a sweet wine, a late harvest reisling from Washington would be good. And if they have any ice wine try one with dessert!

AP is one of my favorites at WDW. Great food and service. The wine list is composed almost completely of wines from Washington and Oregon and has got some really great stuff.

They do serve ice wine. As I recall, it's included in one of the wine flights.

We ate at AP in May and just loved it. The salmon was excellent as was the venison spring roll. My partner had the Duck confit and she really enjoyed that, too. The ambience was lovely and the service was some of the best we've had at WDW. We'll definitely return at Christmas!

AP is one of the best places at WDW. Some of our favorites are;

Vennison spring rolls or smokey portobello soup to start;
Pork Chops; scalops or beef tenderloin for the main course;
Coffee two ways for desert.

The wine list is very good. If you can't decide, go for the wine flights.

We love having Pok as our server - she's great.

Artist Point is wonderful! The menu is based around Northwest cuisine and wines and has so many terrific selections. I loved the cedar plank salmon - which our waiter told us was VERY popular. I am also a cheese-aholic and had a fantastic cheese platter featuring cheeses entirely from the pacific northwest. My husband loves sweet wines - and there are so many good ones, since the pacific northwest has so much reisling and gwertztraminer...the late harvest one we tried (reisling) was a spectacular dessert wine. Plus the Wilderness Lodge is breathtaking...do go and have a marvelous, quiet, romantic, romantic time!

We're going for the same reason. On one of the menus I saw, there is an "ice wine flight" offered. :cloud9: The wine offerings were a big part of the reason I made room for AP on our upcoming trip, though I know DH & DS will appreciate the venison and buffalo offerings.

:laughing: I had heard about the wine & wine flights from fellow diser's so that peaked my interest! Then I showed DH the menu. He immediately noticed the venison & buffalo, so it was a done deal for us too!;)

AP is probably our favorite restaurant at WDW. We do live Cali Grill a lot...but AP is just "us":goodvibes

We love to do the wine flights. There are also some really good beers there too. We've also always had wonderful servers there-Cali Grill has been so-so in that department.

Enjoy!

AP is my family's favorite restaurant and worth the splurge. I have to have both the smoky portobello soup and the venison spring rolls for my appetizer and the kids and I all get the Cedar Plank Salmon - I'll have to try to ask for different sides next time. I am usually too stuffed for dessert but DH always gets the Berry Cobbler. I think the kids get a kid's dessert even though they eat from the adult menu. I did try the coffee two ways for dessert and if you are a coffee-lover, that is the dessert for you.

We've been wanting to visit this restaurant for awhile. May I ask those of you who have been to Artist's Point how "kid-friendly" it is? I have a 3 and 6 year old who are pretty well-behaved.....depending on the day. Is it very quiet in there? I saw they have a cool menu / dessert for kids. Anyone take their little ones there?
