Hi, we are traveling the end of August and are considering a meal at Artist Point. Has anyone eaten there recently and could give me their opinion on the food quality? Thanks. :wizard:

I've eaten there twice, and had fabulous meals both times. It is definitely one of my favorites. Both times I had the chef's selection, which is one set price, and you have a couple of choices for each course. The "coffee two ways" dessert is my absolute favorite!!!

My family dined there last month minus DS2 and me. DS1 and his wife had dinner there with her mother a week or so ago. Everyone raved. The salmon and berry cobbler are favorites with my family.

We've eaten at Artist Point twice and loved it both times. The berry cobbler is not be missed. If you like salmon, the planked salmon is also very good. The staff is very helpful and expert at pairing wines. It makes the meal so much more enjoyable when you have that.

Artist Point is simply the best restaurant at WDW, bar none.

Just returned from the World yesterday and ate at AP on Monday. I will be posting my food reviews with plenty of pictures of "food porn" as soon as I can get some functioning editing software to the images aren't HUGE. Hopefully this afternoon.

Artist Point was in the top 3 (as usual) of the yummiest food around!

I was also thinking about going to Artist Pointe during our Disneymoon. Sounds like I will definitely need to call and make a reservation for one of our dinners...I've heard nothing but great things about AP.

We ate there Sunday night around 8:30. Donald was our server, and boy could he talk! Service was excellent, but a little on the slow side. I think Donald had too many tables to wait on, or perhaps he talked too much? :teeth: Anyway. I had the cedar plank salmon. Excellent dish! DW had the Hatfield pork chop. I hate pork chops, but after tasting DWs, I'm sold on APs chops!
We were going to have dessert, but because of the pace of the service, it was a quarter to 10 before we got done with dinner, and since we wanted to go to the MK early the next morning, we decided to grab a couple of Mickey ice cream sandwiches on our way back to the room. Great restaurant, we highly recommend it. :p

Are children allowed there? What is salmon plank? I usually don't eat fish, kind of a steak person.

Children are allowed at Artist Point. DD loved it there a few years ago.
We have eaten there twice and I think that it's my favorite place. Everything about the place for us was great. And if you like steak...try the Buffalo steak. Had it both times I was there. It is out of this world!!!! Hope you enjoy. pixiedust: :tink:

The salmon is cooked on a cedar plank. Not sure what that does to it, but it sure tastes great! :stir:

Cedar, in addition to imparting a slightly smokey flavor, acts almost like an aromatic herb.

OK, now I realy feel like an idiot!

AP is FABULOUS!!! We absolutely love it there!

Another :thumbsup2 for Artist Point! We dined there in Nov and had a wonderful meal. My entire meal was just delicious - portabello soup, cedar plank salmon and berry cobbler. DS (4) was entertained with the Mickey coloring contest page and loved his grilled chicken. Couldn't have asked for a better evening. We will be returning this November.

Absolutely wonderful. The salmon can't be beat and the berry cobbler....

We say :thumbsup2 for AP as well. Our party of 8 had dinner there. Our DD7 and DD6 did coloring pages while we awaited dinner - they were really happy as we walked out to see that the waitress had posted them on the wall near the front entrance.

The atmosphere was really nice. It was a quiet place to enjoy a very good meal. Service was great, but I forgot our CM's name. :guilty: Our group had the beef tenderloin, the Hatfield pork chops, and the buffalo steak. Everyone was very happy with the food. The AP Cobbler was a great dessert. I would definitely recommend AP!

I have been wondering what the Smoky Portobello Soup is like, can anyone tell me what is in it and what it is like?

WOW! :thumbsup2 I think that this is the only restaurant that I have never seen any negative posts about. I think we may have to give it a try. :cool1:
