There was someone on a thread who had the same problem:Cannot seem to get any reservations for anytime at Artist Point for my November trip. Are they going to be closed and getting a refurb or any reason why no reservations showing at any time?
We go annually for Thanksgiving and always have dinner there. We stay for ten days. Never a problem securing a reservation. I played with various days and times and nothing comes up which makes me wonder if they have reservations on hold for that time period right now.
No kidding! I LOVE ARTIST POINT! If i cant dine there this trip, i'll be devestated.Hopefully just a delay in loading reservations into the system (possibly related to a pending character breakfast addition?) and not an actual refurb!
A lot of people have been having problems getting ressie online. Have you tried calling them? This has been going on for a while though. I have a funny feeling something is going down. Either a refurb or maybe they havent released dates past October. Who knows. Its just really strange.A lot of people have been having problems getting ressie online. Have you tried calling them? The system goes down a lot.
It's special to us as well, we ate there on our honeymoon almost 23 years ago and have eaten there almost every trip since (including 2 Thanksgiving dinners) we're celebrating my husband's birthday on this trip and even booked a stay at Wilderness Lodge in part because of eating there. Wilderness Lodge will still be lovely to stay at and I know we'll enjoy our alternative plans but it's a bummer. It seems odd to be short an eatery at one of the most popular resorts for Christmas too, so I'm hoping that they'll open up dates soon. The fact that AP is closed during a high revenue time of year for Disney at least seems to speak to how management views the location. We are without a doubt biased, as AP is special to us (having spent out 1st Valentines Day together there over 20 years ago). Regardless, it's a signature restaurant that won't be serving during one of the busiest times of year.
Maybe they’re converting Artist Point to a new DVC.
Our first special date was at AP. a few years later (and five years ago), we were married at the Lodge, and in between, we ate there every trip. Our wedding dinner was at AP, and we've continued to go to AP every trip we make, even if it's more than once a year. I do hope the length of time AP is down is scaled back once we know what's going on. Even more than for our sake, I hate AP's CMs taking a hit to their livelihood yet again. When half the Lodge was under construction for better than two years, I know they suffered since foot traffic to both the Lodge and the restaurants there were significantly impacted. Here's hoping AP isn't down for long. It's special to us as well, we ate there on our honeymoon almost 23 years ago (which included 2 Thanksgiving dinners there) and have eaten there almost every trip since, we're celebrating my husband's birthday on this trip and even booked a stay at Wilderness Lodge in part because of eating there.
