Article in Orlando's paper (Disney Cruise Line) today

Good article, thanks. I haven't heard much about the tendering port aspect in the caymans; guess I should be reading more trip reports. Has this been a problem, yet?

Interesting article. Thanks for posting.

Interesting cautionary note about the tendering. This has not yet been a problem on the Western itinerary, but it will be interesting to see if it becomes a problem during the Winter months.

When we cruised Oct. 2000 we tendered to St. Maarten. I didn't think this was a one time thing but the article says they've never tendered before......?????

Yep, you're right, Disney6, until the new pier was finished in St. Maarten Disney tendered in. The article is not totally accurate.

The very same article appeared here in the SC upstate this morning. 3 months late but I guess it's stilll news to some.

A cast member in March told us that until the Magic built seniority at the Western ports, passengers would be tendered. Is the ship able to dock directly at any of the stops?

The Magic docks at both Key West and Cozumel... it gets the best docking position at both ports, I might add. And seniority has nothing to do with it at Grand Cayman... all cruise ships have to tender in their passengers there.
