Art the Greeter (BC/BCV) - show the love

I've seen seen several posts about Art over the years, and it seems like there are a lot of us who think highly of him. Silly as it may sound, seeing him is a highlight of our WDW trips.

So... I set up a fan page for him on Facebook. If you're a FB'er, please become a fan. It would be nice if someday he could visit the site and see that he's unknowingly developed a huge fan club.

I know he's not "DVC specific", but those of us who've been involved with DVC over the years are probably more likely to think of him as family, so I've posted here. If there's a better forum for this, maybe it can/should be moved.

By the way, I wasn't sure about posting this with a link to FB, but read the "rules", and with the "prominent link back", I think all is good. I hope so, because I don't want any trouble!

Met Art for the first time about a month ago during our first stay at BCV. He was in the lobby a couple of times, and only too happy to have me take his picture. It was his idea to snap to attention for the photo!

When I did see him, he always commented on what a beautiful day it was even when it was raining. He reminded me, in every way that is good, of Bobby McFerrin's "Don't worry, be happy" attitude.

We just met him also last week. He is really a sweet man. You can tell he appreciates the loves he is receiving.

We met Art July 2007 on DH and my 10th anniversary trip. He went out of his way to get us an anniversary pin from the YC and BC that is not available anymore. We have the picture of the three of us in our special flashing Disney frame that we bought. He was out sick when we were there in Dec. We are going again next month and can't wait for our 2 DDs to meet him. They get so excited when they see him on TC specials with Samantha Brown.

He is a true Disney gem!

We just can't wait to see that smiling face again!

I became Fan 17! He's been out sick on our last two visits so hopefully we will get to see him in April! We want him to meet our daughters. We have a picture of him with DH and myself on our 10th anniversary trip that we have in a special Disney frame!

What do we have to do to b/c a FB'er. We love Art. We just spent 10 days there and everyday we had to go "see Art" for the kids. He was only off two days for us.
