Art the Greeter at the Beach Club

I "just" got home from a week at Beach Club. Took DME from the airport and when the bus pulled into BC on 9/26, Art came out and welcomed us! What a GREAT way to start our vacation! Around noon today, as our bus was leaving BC for the airport, there was Art, waving "bye" to us!

We saw him many times during our stay and he always had a smile on his face. He is definitely one of Disney's finest assets!

Welcome back Laura - I hope you had a great trip!!! I'm hoping to get to go soon to visit Art - otherwise I will see him for a few days at the beginning of Dec. Him welcoming busses is one of his new daily tasks.

You will probably miss him on your arrival day - he usually goes on his break from 3-4pm and then leaves for the day. So technically he is off the floor by 3:00pm unless he is needed by management.

Just isn't the same arriving at the Beach Club when he's not there.....

We'll just have to try and see him the next morning.

We leave for Disney in 10 days. We are staying at AKV then BC...we can't wait to meet Art....I hope he is feeling well and back at his post. I am hoping my DS's(3) first pin trade is with him. We have seen him many times on the Travel Channel, online and in the Disney DVD...We are so excited about the whole trip.

Unfortunately you might miss him depending on how your long your at AKV. He is on vacation from November 11-19th returning to work on Tuesday the 20th. Just wanted to let you know.

Just a reminder Art is currently on Vacation and will be back on Tuesday, Nov. 20th.

He will also be off Dec 8 - 10 - Returning on Dec 11th.

We were down last week, and decided to wait for him in the lobby to return from break, cause we really wanted our picture in his scrapbook. How is the book coming along by the way? Anyway, here's our contribution. Art is a great man, we cant wait to get married next year and have a picture with him in our tux and gown

Thanks for sharing the picture! He can be hard to find since he has more responsibility lately with greeting buses, the convention center, etc.

The book is coming together slowly - I 've been really busy at my job and am a bit behind - but i'm going back in January so I might give it to him then so it's not rushed in anyway since my December trip is only 24 days away and I want it to be perfect.

He will be there everyday then except for his normal days off of Sunday and Monday.

Hello All -

Just a reminder - Art will be off on Saturday, December 8th - Monday, December 10th returning on Tuesday, December 11th.

I have decided to give him the scrapbook i'm working on in January, my job has been hectic and I haven't been able to put as much time into as I would like. Please continue to share pictures and your stories for his book.
