Do most people tip the tour guide for this experience?

I gave an origami basket I made from a two dollar bill with two miniature candies in it as a tip.

I'm not stating an opinion either way, but since you seem sincerely confused about why a 15-YO would be a problem on this, I'll try to clarify. I think the issue is that DCL likes to reserve some activities for adults only as a benefit to the adults. The same way some people don't like it if a teen is in the bar after 9PM to watch a musician, even if they are "quiet and well behaved," or during adults only trivia, some people feel uncomfortable with teens on the tour even if the parents are sure they won't get bored or be disruptive. Likewise, some people feel uncomfortable if they have to speak up and say they'd prefer to keep the adults only activity, for adults only, so they rely on the CMs to enforce the rules.

Well a little update, she didn't go on the tour. I went with my father and my daughter was disappointed.

You know I read this thread from the beginning myself tonight. Never looking at the dates but noticed I had written in it before. My phone crashed just before I got to my post. As I reloaded the thread it moved to the second page past my post. I decided I wanted to read the whole thread because I knew how much the Art Of Theam Tour was important to my teenage daughter at the time when she was unable to attend.
You will all be happy to know my daughter (now 18) was able to attend her first tour 3 months ago. She commented that it would've been nice to know that information the first time she was on the ship. Also that she was glad there were not young children there asking questions. But she felt she was still more mature back then and would have been fine on the tour.

PS I've been on 4 tours now and they have all been different except for the Palo section and Kids Club area comments. Each tour will be somewhat different if you have a different tour guide.
