Art of Animation or Port Orleans Riverside?

We will be going March 2016, 2 adults, 9yr old girl, & 7 yr old boy.
I realize that the POR is a little fancier and has bigger beds and stuff but the whole decor a AoA seems like it may be more appealing to the little ones? We would stay in the Little Mermaid room there if we went. This is our kids first trip to Disney. Would love to hear Pros and Cons. Thanks!!

What you will get at POR over the Little Mermaid rooms at AoA.

Queen beds
Double sinks
Bigger room
Pool slides
Hot tubs
Sit down restaurant
Multiple bus stops so you're never far from one
Boat to Disney Springs
Yeeha Bob Jackson
Lusher landscaping


Now it's up to you to decide if the extra $$ for POR would be worth it. Now that we are no longer park comandos, we feel the extra amenities at the Moderates are worth the extra $$. But we have very fond memories of all our stays at the Values.

I haven't ever stayed in LM room, but the suites are amazing. I like both resorts so tough call.

On my youngest first stay it was at POR. She loved it. I do like the pool better at AOA.

I stayed at POR in November. Though there weren't any issues, I wouldn't hurry back. I much prefer CS for the mods. I have never stayed at AoA, but would choose POP over POR.

I say Port Orleans only because its out home resort and love it

however we have never been to AoA or any of the value resorts so I am not sure out they are layout out but I just think they are very busy with a lot of people so we always stay at a mod which is a bit less busy and they have a few more perks then a value
