arrrrgh! Lost a gift card before I even gave it!

We have looked everwhere! I remember taking the Pier1 GC out of my purse Wednesday evening - and putting it someplace "safe"!! Where that someplace safe is - I have no idea!! I guess my only alternative is to be at the store when they open and see if they'll re-issue. Oh yeah - I have the 2 receipts that were issued! Why don't I have the GC!

I don't have time for this today!

Hopefully you didn't do what I did last year -- wrapped the gift card into another present. That was a major D'oh!

Could you just get another one and figure you'll use the first one at some time in the future?

Does your grocery store sell GCs for other stores? Maybe you can get one there earlier than Pier 1 opens.

My wife has lost so many things by putting them "someplace safe" that I've often threatened that we'll have to move in order to find them all.

We too have many, many things that are 'somewhere safe' in the house that Marie has safely put away over the years. Good luck.

I actually started writing down where I am putting all of these things for "safe keeping", otherwise I never remember! I make a note on my calendar.......P

So, has anyone ever had any luck getting the store to replace a lost GC? I'm thinking they can just void the number on the original card - it would be invalid if anyone tried to use it. I know it's somewhere in the house - I won't have any problem not using it if I find it later! On the other hand, if it does re-surface and it's still good, I'll use it!
