I've been in and out of the parks and Disney Springs since 9/20. MK wasn't very crowded on Tuesday (9/27) - non-party day with an 8:00p closing. We exited the Monorail when lightning struck near GF at 2:45p. The CMs went into hyper mode to get everyone away from the Monorail station, boats quickly returned to the docks, and bagcheck at the tables was suspended. Everyone had their bags briefly searched at the entrance touch points.
Between 2:45 and 6:15p we were able to complete: Talking Mickey, shopping for Pandora charms, Philharmagic, PP, 7DMT, watched Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire, sat down at Sleepy Hollow to enjoy a snack, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, and sunglass browsing at Sunglass Hut. We benefitted from having a free "anytime" FP added when 7DMT went down when the lightning struck.
There were no lines at Sleepy Hollow and Columbia Harbor House at 5:00ish.
Epcot's F&W booths were walk-up yesterday in mid-afternoon. The only line I saw was in Canada with maybe 8 people waiting at the kiosk. FEA had a 75 minute wait and the A&E line was extended outside of the building.
Disney Springs also wasn't crowded last week. In late afternoon, Starbucks was half-filled with people using laptops and 0 children in there. I have never seen it so empty. We had a 6:45 ADR for STK and stopped by at 5:00 to ask if we could move up our seating as we had nothing left to do and they immediately showed us to a table!
Overall, the crowds have been low. At AK, I watched 3 FotLK shows to see the different casts and there was always available seating as they kept allowing stragglers in after each show had begun.
