Arriving on Sunday (Cell Signal)

We are heading down to Fl on Saturday morning, and after a one night stop over in Melbourne we will be at Fort Wilderness some time late Sunday morning. We are all very excited for our first stay at FW. We were last in WDW in 97 and stayed at the CBR. I am very thankfull for all of the great info that we have been able to get from all of the posts on this sight. They have been very helpfull and have increased our excitement for our stay at the FW cabins. One question that I have been wondering about is the cell phone reception in WDW and FW. This is one of the ways that we plan on keeping up with our teenagers. We have our cell service with Verizon. Again thank you all. TChris

We have verizon and have had very good service around WDW. Only place I had a hard time getting connected was while inside spaceahip earth.

Nope,but I can assume its just fine. We've never had any problems in any area of Central FL (we live here.) We mainly use Nextel and they work just fine in and around the parks for us.

the first 2 times i went to Disney i had verizon and i had perfect reception and now i have Sprint and it's still perfect. as with the person who asked about Cingular, go to your local Cingular store and ask them for a map of where they get reception because i don't think that they get it everywhere.

The map does show coverage. But from experience that doesn't mean you can get a signal.
