Arriving late to MCO - can I get Magical Express the next day?

We are going to be arriving to MCO on a late flight. Instead of checking into our Disney resort that night, I am thinking about staying at an airport hotel, taking the airport shuttle back to MCO the next morning and then getting ME to go to our Disney resort to check in. Will ME allow this? Or will I have a problem since I won't have a flight number to give them for our Disney check-in day?

Thanks for your help!

You can do it - we fly into FL usually a week ahead of our Disney vacation, go visit the inlaws etc. Return the rental car to MCO and get on ME to our resort. Just let them know what is going on. I don't think you can have them handle your luggage. I think the rule is you must be on same bus as luggage, but I am not positive on that one. Just don't use the luggage tags they send you and retrieve your own luggage. ME will transport you and your luggage at the same time.

What they usually do for us is an arrival time "window" so that they have something to put into their computer system.

Happy travels

We usually fly in a day early and stay at the Hyatt MCO. When using ME we give them the check in date of our WDW stay and then look up the flight and times that we would be using so they would have something to put into their system. We do the same thing returning to the airport. We just figure out the time we want to leave, look up flights 3 hours after that time and give the info to ME. We've never run into a problem.

mamacatnv is correct in saying do not put your ME luggage tags on your luggage. You will have to retrieve your luggage after arrival at MCO.

Thank you everyone for your help :goodvibes

I did mean to write that we will not put the tags on our luggage. That occurred to me that we would claim our luggage and keep it with us. I figured that if nothing else I could give an arriving flight time for that morning (even though we won't be on it ;)), but I am glad to know that if I tell them what I am doing that they will give us an arrival window.

Thanks again!!!
