we will not be getting in until 11pm. do you think this will affect the room we get, i have requested trinidad north and don't want to end up in trinidad south at the other end
We arrived late to the WL on our honeymoon. Around 11 and we got the type of room we requested. I assume it will depend on the capacity of the rooms when you go. Because there have been other times when we requested something and were there before checkin and were not able to get it. So I guess it doesnt matter
In my experience I have been more likely to get a room/building request filled when I arrived earlier in the day (midmorning). On one trip to POR we requested a mansion room. Unfortunately, we didn't check in until 1 AM and there were no mansion rooms available. The cast member suggested that we go to our room and get a good night's sleep. She said that they would move us luggage and all to a mansion room while we were at the park. This was a great solution! There's nothing like waking up in WDW!
My guess: you are more likely to get room choice if you check in in the morning as long as you are willing to wait for your room. This gives them the most flexibility. You can check in but leave your luggage in storage and go to a park ad probably get the room you want.
We recently arrived in Orlando late like that. We stayed at an airport area hotel where I found a good rate. Then had Town Car meet us there. This happened to be Fairfield Inn. Seemed like a nice enough place (not Disney) -- even had a free breakfast (not bad). Free shuttle from airport was quick and efficient -- but probably I was lucky.
Trinidad North is a preferred location. If you have paid extra to stay there then you will be placed in Trinidad North or Martinique. You will not be placed in Trinidad South. South is actually next to North at CBR. It is on the other side of the road further down the lake at CBR.
If this is just a request I would plan on them placing you somewhere else in the resort.
SAFETY MOM, WHEN I BOOKED THEY ONLY OFFERED STANDARD OR WATER VIEW, I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AT TRINIDAD NORTH AND HAVE NEVER PAID ANY EXTRA, IS THIS NEW? SM TRINIDAD SOUTH IS STILL A LONG WALK TO THE POOL
The change happened in Jan. of this year. If you want Trinidad North or Martinique you have to pay extra for it now. If you want to take your chances you can try a request. If you want those locations I suggest you call and have them add the cost to your reservation.
Yes Trinidad South is a long way to the main pool. I was just commenting that it is next to Trinidad North. I actually like how quiet and peaceful it is in TS.
