Arriving by car at POP

We are leaving in three weeks for Disney World! We're driving the 8-ish hours from Alabama. As I look at the site map for POP, it seems that some of the rooms are a fair ways away from the parking lot where we will be parking. Are there carts available to transport stuff from the car to your room? Or do they offer bag assistance from the main building?

They have "luggage assistance" at check-in/check-out of the Value Resorts. It works kind of like traditional bell services, but they don't handle each room individually, instead deliver the luggage in (hourly?) shifts.

You can also have them hold you luggage if you want on the last day after check out.

Thank you! I was starting to look at the distance and wonder if our vacation was going to start with an epic journey.

We also drive (Destin area) and I use to use our stroller, but once we stopped taking it, I started taking a collapsible wagon to help with our stuff. Since we drive we take a lot more stuff then if we would if we flew, food etc. We were just at Pop in November and it was a bit of a ways to get to our room and we arrived after midnight so we're on our own.

They do have parking around the resort, so after check in, you should be able to get a spot pretty close to your building. It really is not that big of a resort and even the farthest rooms are only a few minutes walk to the main building.

And it is possible to borrow a Luggage Cart from Luggage Assistance at the Values.

They do not let guest take the luggage cart ( like you would at a Holiday Inn or the like ) but Bell Services does offer assistance at all Disney resorts.

Great to know about POP, considering staying there in Nov and might have a car.

Seen it MANY times at all the Values(and have used them ourselves).

The Values do not have "Bell Services" like the Moderates and Deluxes-it is called Luggage Assistance at the Values and is "similar" to Bell Services but not exactly the same.:)

I’m not sure if there’s an official policy on whether you’re allowed to use the luggage cart or not but I think it depends on the CM! Last year we were staying at ASMo and we had groceries delivered so I met the driver near the luggage desk. We got a ton of bags - seriously, Walmart put everything item in its own bag!!! 😳 When the CM on duty saw me with all those bags he offered me the cart to transport them to our room. When I went back to return the cart however, it was a different CM there and he told us we weren’t supposed to take the cart!!!
