After our weekend stop in Roseville (near Sacramento) we'll be taking off if all goes well no later than 6:30am on a Monday morning.

Luckily my son is a good road-tripper so we'll only be stopping for gas and bathroom breaks.

I'm hoping to get into Anaheim around 4pm....check in at HOJO and hit the parks.

We'll have 3.5days after Monday...

What should we hit for our first late afternoon/evening???? Will FPs be gone or even necessary at that time of day?

We'll be doing our MM the following morning :)

I think you'll get there before 4. We are about and hour or so south of Rosevilke and when we leave at 6:30 we get there and checked in before 1:00.

We normally start on the Jungle cruise side of the park when we arrive in the afternoon.

Oh wow really? Thanks for the info...I was just going by mapquest and adding an hour roughly :-) Plus who knows about LA Area traffic.

Google maps says 7 hours from Roseville (6 from us but we typically get there in 5.5 with a quick stop for gas and food before the grapevine). The only traffic we hit in LA is where the interchanges are downtown and it's not too bad since we just stay on 5. You'll hit some morning traffic leaving Sacramento.

Ya, you'll get there before 4 for sure. And getting there before 4 means no LA traffic garbage to worry about.

Are you going into the parks that day? If so see what FP is available and then go from there. We like afternoon arrivals to do things in DCA. And rides like Jungle Cruise, Pooh Bear, Pirates......

Yes I had planned on going to the park...even though DS will love Hojo's pool area I'm not sure that can beat out the lure of DL across the street (It's DS's first time).

We do the same thing...go thru Adventureland, get a FP for Indy, go on Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder, ride the train around the park. I agree you'll get there before 4. We travel from the Bay Area, and it takes us about 6 1/2 hours.

I'm liking what I'm hearing about not taking until 4pm to get there WOOT WOOT!
