Our flight to MCO arrives at 9:35. How long would to take us to get to Typhoon Lagoon? We are staying at POR. We do have an ADR at TREX at 6:30. I was thinking get to TL by 11:00 and stay until around 2:00pm then head back to change for dinner. Does this seem doable?

We've done this from POR on arrival day. We always do WC on arrival day.

ME to POR about 45 minutes to an hour and a half because it stops at OKW and Sarasota.
Your room won't be ready so just leave your stuff at services and hop on the TL bus.
Leave at 3 PM to get to your room, change and rest.
Take the boat to DS and enjoy TREX

Having WP and More makes our trip so stress free.

Especially if you're taking DME, I wouldn't expect to get to POR much earlier than 11:00. Plus, you might be ready for lunch by the time you arrive, so you might want to do that before going to TL.

1. DME bus routes aren't set in stone.

2. Their room could very well be ready.

I wouldn't plan on getting to TL much before noon (which is when everyone else will be arriving as well.)

Our flight also arrives at 9:30 and were also going to TL the first day. But we don't have ADR. I think you could do it but you'd only get a few hours in at TL. Trying to get to TL by 11am would be ambitious.

Thanks. I realize it wont be a full day, but even a few hours would excite the kids.

Too many unknowns.
Are you taking DME? If so, you can't be sure when your bus will leave or how many stops you will have to make.

Are you on your own for transportation?

Are you checking any luggage? If so, (and DME isn't collecting your bags), you have to build in time to take the monorail to the main terminal and then get to the baggage collection area and wait for your bags. Total time there is a cap shoot.

Frankly, the only way I could see you getting to TL by 11:00 would be if you didn't have any checked bags and you rented a car through an express service like National's Emerald Aisle, or if you took a cab. You could go straight to POR, check in, and then take your cab or rental car to TL. But if you are taking DME to the resort and then a Disney bus from there to TL, I just don't see 11:00 happening.

That's the thing, even a few hours will be fun! Then you go back and have a nice evening at DS :)

We will not have a rental and will be relying on Disney transportation for the whole trip.
