Arrival dates

Why are the dates different for everyone.. I picked the 7th but how do I know thats the right date I am super confused about that...

There are several different arrival dates for people to choose from. They are largely based off your role and what date is most convenient for you. Since you chose January 7th you will arrive January 7th while other people may arrive a month later because that is the date they chose. Don't worry about it

And having 7000+ college students arriving on a single date would be a mess.
