We showed up to the National Treasure screening in Baltimore last night, per Visa instructions, only to be told the movie was not till tonight. Since this was a 45 minute drive for us and we had to arrange babysitters for our kids and those of the couple we went with, we are out of luck. Has anyone actually SEEN this movie yet?

I saw it last Saturday in a sneak preview. It's really a very good movie, if a bit formulaic. I think the premise, modern day treasure hunters following clues left by the Founding Fathers, is pretty cool.

My family saw the movie last Thursday night at the Disney Visa screening in the Detroit area. We loved it! It is similar to the Da Vinci Code, which is one of our favorite books. We love mysteries! I also liked the fact that there was no swearing and no blood in the movie.

You must have been very frustrated to find out that the movie was showing tonight instead of last night with all the arrangements you made. I know, we nearly broke our necks to get to the theater by 7:00 pm to see the movie since we don't live near the theater, my DD had a volleyball game, my DS had parent-teacher conferences and my DM had a doctor's appointment all after school.

I hope you get a chance to see it!

ckoncurat- was it at Arrundel Mills?
I sent in for tickets but I guess I was too late. After hearing your experience I guess I was lucky NOT to get the tickets. As it is 45 minutes for me too and we also would have needed a babysitter.
So far my Disney card special offers have turned out to be more trouble than they are worth. We had a terrible time with the Lion King special offer.
I would be so annoyed if I were you. Are you going to go tonight?

yes- at arundel mills. We got the email, and there were a handful of others who showed up, but no movie. I was NOT able to get back there on tuesday.

I worry about this as well. We'll be driving about 45 minutes (if traffic is good) to see the movie as well (at a theater we've never been to) tonight. I hope we don't have your same luck.

Sorry you missed the movie. Did you get to do something else while you still had a babysitter and friends to spend time with?

I've gotten the free passes to about 6 movies now and have only been able to attend 2, this will be our third.

The theater owner actually allowed us to see any other movie that was starting then... We opted for "after the sunset" with pierce bronson, which was watchable, but not great.
