Lol I love the numbers post and am with you on how I am going to fit everything in 2 suitcases!

I love how there is only 2 pay days until your trip - it makes your trip seem so close. The only number of interest to me at the minute is 24 days as after that it'll be time for our trip!! :yay:

LOVE the #s post!!!!!

I also go by "pay dates until trip".... somehow that makes it seem even faster, when you know it's just two!

....this of course also freaks me out because I want to have plenty of money for spending cash.... and it is starting to seem like I won't!:confused3

Great numbers post:thumbsup2 If I ever get back at my PTR I may have to 'steal' your idea;)
Time is getting closer, seems like there's so much still to do. Of course, with school starting here in less than two weeks I have been preparing for that and the trip planning has been on hold:eek:

. . .I will be boarding a plane to fly to Disney!!!

Time for a dance! :dancer:

Time is going by QUICKLY now. I'm hoping our lovely red envelope with our plane tickets will be arriving any day now.

MarsMama - I know what you mean about there still being so much to do! I keep thinking I have everything done, but when I actually sat down and made a list there's still lots of little things I need to organise before we go.

I also need to get the house in some kind of order for the house/pet sitter :rotfl:

Thankfully, I have a three day weekend this weekend  As well as having a ton of writing to do, I also plan to finish making my MNSSHP costume, organising DH's costume, picking up all the last minute purchases like batteries, any remaining toiletries. I'm thinking that if I get all of that done, the next few weeks should (hopefully!) be quite relaxed and I can just spend time double checking ADRs (just for fun!), packing and repacking (it's like a sickness) and day dreaming about the day before we go, when DH has to go to work and I do not :rotfl:

I also need to catch up on the Disboards!

:woohoo: on it being 4 weeks to go!!!

Enjoy the long weekend and hope you manage to finish your halloween costume and get the other things done.

I'm jealous that you can relax for the last few days - am going to start packing next week and we only have approx 2 weeks to go!

The costume is finished!

Part 1 - the head band

Part 2 - the cursed purple trim on the t-shirt

IMG00083-20110827-1632.jpg

Yes, those are pom-poms glued onto the shirt - it looks a bit funny but I think it's cute

IMG00082-20110827-1632.jpg

The plan is to just wear a pair of blue jeans or shorts depending on the weather, and I'll take some glittery green eye shadow or something similar. Not the most sophisticated costume in the world but hopefully people will get the idea :rotfl:

(I promise the trip report photos will be much better quality - these are all taken on my phone!)

The costume is really cute! Remember it will be dark and noone but you will notice anything hinky with the trim.

Less than a month! You must be going nuts, I can't wait until I go and I have over 5 months to go!

I think the costume is great, and the pompoms look perfect, glue is your friend :) Congrats on 4 week.... how very exciting!:goodvibes

How did this happen? Last time I posted here it was four weeks to go, now it's less than three?! :scared1:

So, it's all down to these last few weeks...will I have enough batteries? Is there enough time to tidy up the house for the house sitter? Will I ever lose any weight??? :rotfl:

I can't believe I'm still picking up things at this stage! This weekend it was the (almost) final purchases of first aid bits and pieces. Also picked up the all important luggage scale, bargain at £1, which will tell me exactly how close to my luggage limit my souvenirs will take me! Never fear though, I have bought some fun stuff too...

Some Seven Dwarf-related pyjamas

Travelling outfit! Saw this shirt in the Disney store today and couldn't resist - it's a bit different from my usual t-shirts so thought it would be perfect for the long plan journey.

(Sorry the pics aren't the best - more camera phone shots!)

In other news, DH has finally settled on Indiana Jones as his MNSSHP costume and bought his outfit a few days ago - he's planning on picking up a hat when we get over there.

I have also been keeping an eye on news for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and I am pretty sure we'll be doing this after WWOHP (assuming the weather holds out!) It will be absolutely terrifying but I'm conviced we'll love it...

I'm now on constant look out for my airline tickets coming through the door - expecting them any day now...

Since it's Tuesday, let's do a Top 5...

DH and I were having a Disney bus journey today, listening to podcasts on DH's phone on the way home from work :rotfl: The topic was the top things that annoy you while at Disney. I had to laugh at this because I've been working on a blog post about this topic (more about how people get so worked up about the weirdest things while on holiday) but this topic always makes me giggle.

So though it's the most magical place on earth, what are the top 5 things that you can't help being annoyed at in the parks? (all in good fun ;))

Here are mine:

5. Hypothetical situation loosely based on real events. It's five minutes before Wishes. I've been sitting in the perfect viewing location for the last ninety minutes. The lights dim. Jiminy's voice fills the Magic Kingdom, announcing that it's almost time. Tink starts to fly from the castle and then...the 6ft man standing 2 inches in front of me hoists his young child onto his shoulders, while the woman practically standing on my shoulders proceeds to narrate the entire show (loudly) for someone at the other end of a mobile phone  Seriously, I want the kids to be able to see, but I'm only little too!!

4. The edger - you know the one. That person behind you in the line at Soarin' who creeps closer and closer to you, despite the fact the line has not moved in the last twenty minutes.

3. Pushing of any kind. I want to ride Toy Story Mania too but there's really no need to touch me ;)

2. People who refuse to follow CM instructions - no flash photography, move all the way down to the end of the row, no you may not climb that tree to watch Illuminations...no matter what it is, there always seems to be that one person who thinks the CM isn't talking to them...

1. Going home. I just don't see why it's necessary.

Lol I'm still fretting about the weight issue even at 7 days out! Have decided that there's not much point now though and hoping that all the walking at Disney World will have some impact! ;)

Love the Snow White pyjamas and the Alice tee. Want something to wear to 1900 Park Fare breakfast and that would be perfect. I'm going to see if I can find something during our trip.

Can't wait to hear what you think about Universal's Halloween Horror night and yay on getting your airline tickets any day now! :cool1:

Lol am sure I will experience some of them annoying things during our trip and definitely think there should a ban in place to stop anyone from heading home once they arrive!

Truly, they really should make a law forbidding anyone to leave. Unless that will make it too crowded before I get there, then they must all leave, but that will clean the slate, so *I* can stay. Since you'll be there after me, the parks will be perfect and you can stay too! See? Logic!:rotfl2:

I like the way you think :cool2:

Reading Tanz's Panic Mode post has reminded me I still have a fair amount to do. So much for being organised?

Trying to compile a list - it's all little things, but working this weekend (dreaded Saturday shifts - the only thing worse than the late shift!). I think a lot of these things I can probably get done today:

1. Pick up contact lenses - this should be relatively straight forward - have appointment today and hopefully they will already be in stock!
2. Make hair appointment
3. Print luggage labels and tip envelopes.
4. Figure out how to FOLD tip envelopes.
5. Check through planning folder and make sure everything I need is printed and filed.
6. Take everything out of suitcase and figure out what is actually in there!
7. Take rabbits to the vet for vaccinations
8. Double check ADRs
9. DH needs to send off room request - we're going to send a fax to POR to request the same building we were in last time. It's not a make or break issue - I'd be happy with any room, it's just such a perfect location, and since it's still pretty far from the main building I'm hoping it won't be too in demand!
10. Last day roundup - the things I can only do the day before we leave - partly because I'm off work that day and partly because it's the last pay day before we leave. This will be things like hairdressers, exchanging money into dollars, repacking for the millionth time :rolleyes1 Plus I have agreed to head into town for a colleague's leaving night. Drinks the night before a nine hour plane ride? This will end in tears...

Lol don't panic - like many said to me the list is do able and it's things that won't take much time. Having recently made my tip envelopes they are not that hard to do at all and easy to get your head around. Heck you ended up making a MNSSHP costume so tip envelopes will be a breeze! :rotfl:

Hope you get your room request and wow you are brave going to a night out before boarding the plane the next day! ;)

I, too, hate the part about having to leave WDW the worst of all!! lol

I have been trying to get a list compiled of what I have left to do. I had my hair appointment yesterday so that's one less thing to do. Still trying to finish off my planning binder, and I almost forgot to double check the ADRs, until I seen it on your list ;)
