So exciting!!! It won't be long now and you'll be on your way!!!
Enjoy your trip.....we may even cross paths at some point (I do believe our 'OHana ADRs are near the same time )
We started counting down to this trip 500-odd days ago and now it's here. Yesterday was my last day of work for three whole weeks , all the housework is done, cases are packed and all that's left to do now is wait. Well, that and watch a whole bunch of Disney movies! Sitting here watching Bambi for the first time since I was a little girl and yes I am bawling my eyes out This movie is very distressing
You can tell I'm excited by the fact that I was up at 7am this morning even though I didn't have to go to work! At least I should be able to sleep tonight!
Our flight is at 12.05pm tomorrow. Check in should open at 9am so our plan is to leave around 7.30-8 to drive to the airport. I'm on a mission to be one of the first groups through check-in and security (my last bit of stress), get some breakfast in the airport then chill till it's time to board
I've been reading about some of the plans for the 40th anniversary in the Magic Kingdom and I'm pretty excited. I know a lot of people seem disappointed that the events aren't as big as they'd hoped for but I'm pretty happy with some special fireworks and a chance to see Jim Shore (since my livingroom is home to a number of his figurines!) Plus, cupcakes!
DH is at work for a few hours today but is leaving early so it will give us plenty of time to do last minute checks that we have all the essentials. Now I just need to charge the camcorder and figure out how to use the camera!

Only a few hours left - your trip isn't that far off now either!
I'll be keeping an eye out in Ohana and around the resort - hope you'll say hi if you spot us! I'll be easy to spot in Ohana - I'll be the one ridiculously excited by the sight of a Lapu Lapu!
I will most definitely say "hi" if I see you around. I will keep an eye out for someone at 'Ohana who's overly excited over an Lapu Lapu (once I find out what that is)
I got some of the mickey's head samples from Home Depot, but am unsure how I will attach them and where. Likely to my park bag with a safety pin or something of the sort.....or maybe I'll see if I can't find something from the creative dis boards and iron it right on
We will be at MK on the first, that's the night we got the Wishes Dessert party booked for. I'm hoping that the 'extras' that they're doing for the anniversary won't make for an extra crowded park!
Enjoy your Disney movie time while you wait, I hope that the time passes quickly for you. How awesome that you are all ready so far ahead of your flight.....I'm afraid I won't be in that same situation

I stil have my lime green Mickey head from our last trip - last time I had mine in displayed in a plastic wallet on my ticket lanyard but not sure yet if I'm wearing a lanyard this time so haven't figured out where I'm putting it! I might laminate it and put it on my bag somehow!
I have a horrible feeling I've been too organised and will realise at the last minute that I have overlooked something important!
I have just returned from the hair salon, and as usual, the stylist asked if I'm going on holiday. I couldn't help smiling when I told her that I'm going tomorrow.
So, she asked me where I was going and I told her Walt Disney World in Florida. She asked me a few more questions before eventually saying "don't you feel stupid going there without kids?" I guess it's the new law, you must have kids to like Disney. I could have spent the rest of the time trying to convince her that we're not the only adults who go without children but I decided there wasn't much point.
Well, it's been a long road but we're finally here, in an hour or so I will be off to bed and when I wake up in the morning it's off to Walt Disney World
All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go...but there's always time for one last little bit of creativity...
It's not very clear in the photo but this is my new and improved LGMH to help other Disers spot me around The World and hopefully one or two will say hi Ok, so maybe creativity is a bit of a stretch, it's really just a Mickey head I did on a word document with my screen name on it, laminated and attached to my park bag with a key ring but it does the trick!
Thanks for following along with my pre-trip adventures, it's been great having you all here and reading your plans I'll hopefully see you all on the other side for the trip reports!
Hey Elizabeth hope you and Russ (sp?) are having a great trip!!! Loved our little meet on our last day - look forward to hearing about the rest of your adventures and how you end up finding the Universal Halloween event
