Hello everyone!
My friend, Jenny [BabyPiglet], inspired me to write my own pre-trip report. This isn't going to be a huge, extravagant report for a few reasons:

1. This is my first pre-trip report.
2. Although I am going to Disney, I will only be there for a day.

For me, even if someone is in Disney World for a day, it's still a trip. Memories have been made, pictures have been taken, the good times are rolling.

This is my second trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida this year. My other trip was in May. I went with my parents (I'm an only child), my cousins, and their parents for a long weekend trip. It was a graduation gift to me from my parents.

In about a week, I will be flying down to Florida with my dad to visit the same cousins who went to Disney with us. I asked my mother if we still had any tickets, and she said yes. The tickets are good for one day. I asked my father if we had a chance of going. He asked me what I'd do if I had a day to spend in Disney, and I told him, "I'd go to EPCOT."
"Why?"
"It's my favorite theme park, and it would be nice to spend a long, relaxing day there."
He said he'd look into it, but the outlook was dim; we had no idea if our cousins still had tickets.

My dad decided to call our cousins. It turns out, when he called, they were on Disney property! Their ticket's won't expire until after we leave. My dad talked to them, and we are definately going, but the trip is still undergoing some changes for one main reason:

1. The weather hasn't been the greatest for the past few days, and we have no idea if this will change.

Therefore, we have no idea exactly what day we will be going. We plan on being in EPCOT sometime between Thursday, August 9th, and Sunday, August 12th.

There is no right or wrong way to write a pre trip report, but I have a feeling I'm going to do something wrong. I don't want to go overboard with useless information. So, for now, I just wanted to inform all of you that I'll be going to Disney World. =) I'll update as our plans get more definate. And, like Jenny's doing, I'll add some more information about my previous trips to The World as I go along.

Thanks for reading this; I greatly appreciate it.
- Jaimie

Great start, Jaimie. Thanks for mentioning me.

I had to, after talking to you about the subject fairly often.
And thank you.

The Crew

Jaimie - The Disney Freak: That's me. I'm 14 years old. I've been to Walt Disney World 8 times. I've been going since '97, and I don't feel the need to stop going there. I love Florida. I'm an obsessive person. I'm the reason for my family going back year after year. Besides growing up with a love for Disney, I have a love for Star Wars. (And it's a bit obvious, I must say.)

DDad - The Laid Back, Trill Seeker - That probably sounds like an oxymoron, but that's what my dad is. He loves Disney, but probably not as much as I do. He'll watch the movies with me, only if I beg him to. In Disney, he's just a "go with the flow" type guy. He doesn't flip if our plans go wrong. He's a really level headed guy. In Disney, I always go on all of the thrill rides with him. I sometimes go on RnR with him four times in one morning. I love that.

DCousin'sMom - The Late Sleeper with Good Planning - (another oxymoron) :scared1: My cousin's mom (who is not my aunt, but is still my cousin. I have no idea how to explain it) . While we were with her family in May, they all slept until at least noon. However, her planning in the afternoon always seemed to work out. She apparently loves Disney just as much as the rest of us. When her family tried to do Universal, she didn't have the heart to go there. Disney's her home.

DCousin'sDad - The Siemen's Worker - Yes, he works for Siemens. He always seems to have a good time when he's at The World. Often, our family hears some "Insider's Info" about what Siemen's is up to in EPCOT from him. His knowledge of what we don't hear about normally astounds me, and keeps me wanting more.

DCousin(15) - The Less Intense, The Better - My cousin Mary. She adores Disney. She's not much of a thrill seeker, except maybe for BTMRR, which is perhaps her favorite ride. She loves getting character's autographs, and less intense rides, such as Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and more importantly, POTC. She also loves shopping around for Disney items.

DCousin(10) - Little Dare Devil - My cousin Jane. For such a small kid, she loves the intense rides. It's always fun to go on RnR and TOT with her. Especially Mission: Space. Being in line with her means never getting bored. She's full of life, and has a huge passion for Disney. She loves everything about the place, from Big Thunder Mountain (yes, her family's obsessed with this ride) to the Churros. She's always able to keep us laughing. Recently, I got her into pin trading.

Even though she is not going, I feel the need to include one, special person:

DM - The Planner; The Reason for Disney - My mother deserves the credit for even starting this Disney lifestyle. It was her idea for our first trip back in '97. She was the one who put in The Little Mermaid every day for me to watch as a toddler. She visited Disney World before I was born, and I like to believe that she brought a little bit of Pixie Dust home and waited to sprinkle some on me. She's the reason I'm even posting right now; she got me hooked on this place. She loves to plan trips, even if we aren't exactly planning an actual trip.

That's my family. =)

And So it Began
1997
It was, I want to say, September of 1997. I was four years old. I was went to Walt Disney World for the first time with my parents, and my dad's cousin and his wife. I don't remember much from that trip. I remember having my picture taken in MGM, seeing the parade in MK, breaking the footstrap on my stroller because my dad wanted me to go on the Tomorrowland Speedway, and I refused. I also remember having the time of my life on the Skyway. But the most important memory was seeing Cinderella's Castle for the first time. Yes, I saw it when it was a cake. Unlike most people, I loved the castle dressed up like a cake. I thought it was real.

I remember going back again in '00, and panicking when I saw the Castle in its original, elegant, classic glory. I was shocked, to say the least. I remember wondering why the castle was rebuilt. :rotfl: I really wanted to go on RnR, but my mom said no because of the inversions.

'02 and '03. We went in November. I was able to celebrate my birthday, in The World on both trips. The '02 one was the better one, but you must remember that both trips were just as equally magical. In '02, I rode Test Track for the first time. My birthday was announced over the intercom, and I got to cut the entire line when I said that I wanted to ride it again. My fourth grade teacher forced me to ride RnR. So my mom had to let me ride it. I love RnR. Every time I go to MGM, I ride it at least three times. For my 11th birthday, I ate at Crystal Palace for breakfast, and had a birthday card signed by all of the characters.

Since then, I've been going back every year. There's nothing overly significant to mention about the next few trips.

May '07. This was originally supposed to be a suprise graduation trip from my parents, but they told me in January about the trip. :rotfl: The trip was origninally going to be for Star Wars weekends, but apparently Celebration IV was more important. Anyway, I went with my cousins. This trip was the shortest one (only five days), but it was the best one.

That's the history of my Disney trips.
