Today we were determined to make an Early Entry in Epcot. Jade wanted another go on TT (hopefully not breaking down this time).
We arrived at Epcot just after 8am and headed straight to TT. At 8:15am the standby line was already 50 mins. The line at M:S was just as bad, so we grabbed FPs for TT and decided on a bit of breakfast.
The Electric Umbrella was open for breakfast so we went in there. There wasn’t an awful lot I liked (not an egg person), so I had a side of bacon and sausage. Jade had cereal and fresh fruit and Nicola and Julie had Breakfast Burritos.
After breakfast we headed back to TT for our FP. The ride didn’t breakdown this time, but I nearly lost my sunglasses. I had hooked them inside my shirt collar, and on the top of the hill climb they flew out onto the floor of the car. I could bend down to get them because of the seat belt, so I had to sort of grab them with my feet to stop them flying out of the car!
Good job they were £20 Boots specials and not Oakleys!
Another ride we hadn’t done before in Epcot was Journey Into Imagination, so we headed over there, calling into Ice Station Cool for a free drink on the way (I couldn’t believe the number of folks filling drink bottles in there!).
I must admit the Journey Into Imagination was a bit of a let down.
We had PSs at ‘Ohanas for 5pm, so we headed back to POR for a quick drink and to freshen up before heading over to MK. We did another first and went up the Swiss Family Tree House. That warmed us up, so a nice Dole Whip was required to cool us down again – yummie. As we didn’t know how long it would take us to get to the Poly. We headed out to catch the resort monorail. We had to wait quite a while for one to turn up. We arrived at the Poly. At about 4:30.
We had invited Kath (Nativetxn) to have dinner with us for her birthday. So we sat on the comfy chairs outside of ’Ohanas waiting for her to arrive (I had seen her photo on the DIS, so had a good idea what she looked like). It was approaching our PS time and no sign of Kath. I made ourselves known to the CM on the restaurant reception and was given a beeping flashy thingy. At 5pm the beeping flashy thingy went off – so we had to go into dinner with Kath no where to be seen!
We explained to our server that we were expecting another guest. We had just started our starters when Kath rushed in. We were so relieved to see her. We had a great meal together and exchanged a few gifts and had a good chat. Jade had a go at the hula-hoops.
We loved the food at ‘Ohanas, compared to Le Cellier, you get much better value for money and you can really stuff yourself silly (if you wanted to).
After dinner and arranging another meet, Kath headed back to her hotel and we headed back to MK to watch Spectromagic again. We also managed to do Splash Mountain and the Jungle Cruise – both are much better rides in the dark!
Tomorrow we transfer to AKL, so we headed back to POR to pack!

Part 14 next – Transfer Day!
