Armed Forces Vacation rentals==Quality of timeshare units?

For those who have booked timeshare rentals through Armed Forces Vacation Club, did you find you were assigned to nice timeshare units? I don't care about things like the view, but I don't want to be placed in the oldest, most rundown unit either. I'm looking at this as a reasonable option for future stays, and I'd love to hear from those who have done this before.
