Time will tell.
BTW, amidst all their celebratory gushing over Ms. Knox, what ABC, USA Today and the Huffington Post aren't telling you is that Ms. Knox still has one legal issue hanging over her head.
As mentioned earlier on this thread, she erroneously accused bartender Patrick Lumumba of being involved in the slaying. He spent several weeks in jail after Knox accused him and he won a defamation suit against her, for which Knox was ordered to pay him about $54,000 in damages.
Despite receiving a lucrative $4 million advance from Harper Collins, Knox still hasn't paid Lumumba the money.
It is the Italian Police Dept. that should be responsible for that money. The interrogation of Amanda was wrong and they basically strong armed her into telling them whatever fantasy story they wanted to bring charges. I can't imagine the ordeal she went through and false confessions are coerced from people under those extreme situations a lot. From Lumumba's first hand experience with the Italian police and how poorly he was treated, he should have some understanding of what she went through. I don't blame Lumumba for hating Amanda, but the money shouldn't come from her. Who knows what will happen. I don't know the legalities of if she can be forced to pay him or if they will go back to court. I think since she has been cleared of wrong doing though, his case is a lot weaker and the chances she will have to pay are very slim.
And FYI my facts don't come from injustice in perugia. What site would or wouldn't be sufficient?
