ARGH !!!! BWI charged us for Concierge! - RESOLVED!

DM & I had booked a standard room at BWI at AP rate, about $218 a night. At check in we were told it was "our lucky day" and we got upgraded to concierge. Very nice ! There was a small problem as they put us in a room with a king bed and it took a little while for the CM to find us a 2-queen room instead.

Anyway... we used Express Checkout and didn't have a chance to take a look at our bill since the bellman arrived much faster than we'd expected.

Today DM checks her credit card statement and there are TWO charges from the Boardwalk. So we checked our bill again and sure enuf there are 2 payments :

436.50 (2 nights at AP rate)

and 439.25 for something described like this
07 3N RO PH DRC SM DLX
whatever that means
(DLX sounds like "Deluxe" to me and we were in a standard room).

There's a phone # and email at the bottom of our bill so I will be contacting Disney tomorrow but in the meantime, has this happened to anyone ?
How can I prove that we didn't REQUEST to be moved to Concierge ??

I bet when the CM found you the 2Qs room she didn't code it for the free upgrade. They should still have on file the K upgrade and it should show as free.

Try your best with Disney. Things should work out ok.

If however they were stubborn and unhelpful, just contest it with your credit card company.
 
I doubt if it will be a problem, they are very professional and reasonable in the corporate offices. If you calmly explain yourself they will research it and fix your problem. Like mika911 said, as a final resort you can always dispute it on your credit card.
 
Just called & got a very nice man who checked the bill for me. I'mNoPrince you were right on - there was a mixup when she changed the room from King to Queens. All fixed now ! Thank you all for helping out :)
 
Thats great.

Glad it worked out. Thats one thing I can say for Disney they keep their records of every transaction taken. Sometimes they have to locate them but they are there. Sometimes they are stored under Name,Phone number or address but they are there somewhere.
 
So glad it was resolved for you. I read your review and the issues you had at BWI. :confused:

This problem reminded me of our May Swan stay....very rundown room, things broke, poor housekeeping & all around lame stay....then we go check out and find they charged us rack rate instead of the AAA rate I booked it at! :eek: Of course, they coudln't fix it even though I had my printout receipt with me. I had to catch my flight so had to make several phone calls for the next few days to get it straightened out - which it was, but a hassle.
