We were to arrive in Orlando on Memorial Day and spend the week. Today is our 6th snow day with more snow to come on Friday. I am a teacher, so I have to be there for the end of school. As of now, our last day is May 30.

We went the first week of June last year and it was really hot! I'm not sure if we can make it any later in the summer. We do get a fall break in October. Can anyone compare June with October - weather, crowds, activities, etc?
We had a room+ticket discount last June, but I don't remember seeing anything for mid-October.

I am in the October fan club.

I have a FL Resident Seasonal Pass and all of June is a black out day because of how many tickets they sell and it is so crowded there.

-Less crowds, cooler temperature, and fall decorations!

I've been in both months and I prefer Oct. The temps were lower, less crowded and the MNSSHP was fun.
We were there June 7-13 and the last few days the crowds were really increasing. The sun seemed hotter than Oct. and also there was more rain.

The only thing I think was better about June was that we didn't have to go back to school when the vacation was over! I guess also it's fun to have a vacation as soon as school is out. It is more exciting.
Good luck with your decision.

It's been a number of years since I've gone in June but we went in October in 2010 and 2011 and it's perhaps my favorite time to go to WDW! F&WF is so much fun and I am itching to go back for that again. There's also MNSSHP, which I enjoyed alot - even moreso than MVMCP.

The weather in 2010 was sheer perfection - low 80s, not a drop of rain, no humidity. In 2011 we got about a day and a half of really lousy, plan-changing, heavy rain. So it can go either way in that regard. Both years we were there over a holiday weekend (Columbus Day) and didn't find the crowds to be too bad, although we avoided Epcot on the weekend days at all costs. The only time we went in on the weekend was Saturday evening through IG to have dinner at the then Bistro de Paris, and the crush of crowds from F&WF made getting even that short distance a chore!

We have been during both months and although we thought June was fine, October is our preference. We spend a lot of time at the pool, so the heat was never an issue for us in the summer months. With that said, October weather can still be hot (low to mid 80s), but there's no humidity. October isn't as slow a month crowd-wise as it used to be, but it's not bad, IMO. Good luck.
