yeah spring !!!!! the pastor announced this over and over in church on Sunday--if you don't change your clocks we'll all be waving goodbye to you when you get to church!
I was supposed to work in the nursery one Sunday, and thought I was early! I got there and my friend joked, "Nice of you to show up!" I didn't quite get what she meant, but just let it go...until 10 minutes later when DH came in and said that the pastor had just said the benediction! Turns out we were an hour LATE instead of early!
And then there was the Sunday that the PASTOR didn't show up. His wife was 9 months pg, so we all figured she had gone into labor and they were to busy to call! Nope, victim of daylight savings time again!
Well, I've officially messed up. I thought we were changing the clocks tonight (Sunday night) not Saturday night. (which is actually Sunday early am.) My son had an early ice hockey game this morning -- and we are going to miss it now because we woke up an hour late. I have always hated all this changing of the clocks twice a year.
I also hate changing the clocks. Especially when we lose an hour of sleep. I almost didn't make it to work on time today, because I use my cell phone as an alarm. I knew my cell phone changes time automatically so I set my alarm for 3am just to make sure it switched and I would sleep another hour if the time automatically changed on my phone. Luckily dh had friends over playing pool and when the left around 2:15am I woke up. I noticed the time didn't change on my phone yet. As I am looking at it. It changed to 3:15am. Since I was being so careful with waking up on time my alarm would have never went off since my phone never actually said it was 3am. This is the first time I have ever been happy with dh and his friends waking me up because they are to loud!
I planned it even better - that's where I was in October for the fall back thing... so we got an extra hour of fun!
Hope you have a great time!
So with Indiana jumping on the bandwagon does that leave us (Arizona) as the lone holdout in the contiguous US?
I've done the late to church thing in the past too and it seems like I'd always miss at least one clock. (pre-Arizona days)
It's nice not to have to worry about it.
