We bought the tickets and are now offical!! We will be going Dec 19th - Dec 23rd. It will be me, Dh,ds(11),dd (6) and my Ds, her dh and my dn (11).
I am wondering about the entertainment book coupon, can anyone help me with this ? Do I have to buy the 2010 version since we are going Dec. Or will they allow me to use 2009 since I am booking now? I will need two rooms - will this require two books for two coupons? And lastly how can I verify if the Residence Inn Marriott on Clementine accepts the coupon. Can I get rate online or do you have to wait and hassle with coupon at desk upon arrival ? Sorry alot of questions- but I know someone will have the answers - thanks

Hello! We are going to be at Disneyland 2 times in December (before and after our trip to Hawaii). We will be there December 2-4 (staying at the Grand Californian Villas), and then December 11-13 (staying at the Grand Californian Villas). Christmas is our favorite time of the year to visit Disneyland. I just love all of the decorations!

Newbies just booked

Nov. 20th and 21st- VGC- we have never been there before( well actually DH has been once many many moons ago).

Driving over from Vegas on the Friday and staying till Sunday.

Not a huge trip but I can't wait to see all the decorations.

I have always wanted to see sleeping beauty's castle all lit up and one of our son's has a b-day so what better time than to take advantage of the free admission, etc, right?

We are planning on the 19th-23rd. Are these good dates? (what's the candlelight procession(?) that sounds like something to avoid with crowds..??)

Have a courtesy hold on a room at disneyland hotel. Have to make up my mind by wed. My only problem is I am extremely claustrophobic and I can't stay anywhere without windows or a balcony. (I'm not making this up, we're talking crying/panic/xanax/bad times)They are refurbishing disneyland hotel so there is a good chance we won't get a room with an opeing window. Ideally I would like to stay at the grand Californian since they have (ahhh) a nice big terrace, but I doubt we can afford it, are there any discounts out there that may make it an option?

Has anyone found that it is better to book a package through Disney directly or is it possible to save money by booking room only and buying the tickets elsewhere?

I think that you would still be able to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, and just request one of the non-refurbished rooms. They have 3 towers, and it is supposed to take over a year to complete the refurbishment. So far I have seen about 4 rooms completed, but those are scattered around (like they had to do something else to the rooms, so they went ahead and did the whole thing - the ones that I have seen done have been in the Dreams tower). You can tell which ones are done, because they have blue around the window, and of course, the fact that there is no fake balcony any longer. Also, just so you know, Paradise Pier has windows that can partially open (about 4-5 inches).

For those who don't have their dates picked out yet..which i can understand..cuz it's so hard to know when to go in dec. Well anyway, i put your names on the lower part of the list to be added to the mainlist when dates are selected. It is easier to update that way, rather than finding and moving. Hey all, my dates are not flexible, so I have those set: We are going Dec 10-13
We are actually going to California for a wedding, but who can go to the Anaheim area without seeing Mickey not me

Been to DL several times, grew up in California. This will be my baby's first trip, and most likely will be just me and him. If this is the case I'm leaning toward staying at hojo's- because I feel that is a safe place to stay.

Anyone know how much DL photopass is? If it is just me and baby I think I'll purchase it. I also just LOVE Disney at holiday time, our last two trips to DL were during the Christmas season.
