Are You Nice?

I'm mean on the DIS but pretty nice in real life. Most people say that I'm easy going, but if you cross me or try to cheat me, watch out.

In friends, I value cleverness and funniness over niceness. Too nice can be boring, both on message boards and in real life. I would much rather see an original well-written viewpoint than some sugary sweet, self-serving, kiss-up post, and I would rather speak to a funny, opinionated pal than a smiling, preachy twit. Ya know?

I am nice and I am fair. When things "happen" and people are not fair I can get very mean ! It does not happen all that often BUT I just like everything to be fair in life.

Does that make sense to anyone? I actually got nicer as I got older. I think when people simply do not understand something..they get mean instead of just saying very nicely.."I don't understand"!

Ugh...it is late and I am mumbling and rambling. Actually I mumble and ramble the later it gets. If I am still on the DIS at 1am...woo...I will be making no sense at all.

Professionally, I am very nice.

I deal with lots of phone orders and daily I'll have someone, before they hang up with me, thank me for all my help and tell me how upbeat and friendly I was to them. So I'd say I'm nice.

I love my life, my DH, my kids , my friends and my job. I've always go out of my way to visit my elderly relatives, and know being nice to them throughout the years has brought a smile to them.

Just a couple strange people on the Internet that I'm not nice to.

I am a nice person I want to treat everyone with kindness. I even try to be nice to people who are mean to me. Being nice to people who are mean to me is not always easy, but I don't hate anyone. Now I do want to make it clear that I don't let people walk all over me.

I am very nice to people who treat me with kindness Friendship is very important to me. I care about my friends very much so I want to treat them with kindness. If one of my friends is in trouble I want to do what I can to help them out. I am a very nice person

I consider myself to be nice. But I am getting better at not letting it let people walk all over me. I guess I used to be TOO nice. Not speaking fluff, but not letting people know I was mad at them...ya know?

I guess my definition of being "nice" is being kind and courteous, and considering others' feelings, even when disagreeing. You know, deep down being kind and trying to be understanding.

Recently, the DISboards has made me feel less-than-nice though. I guess when people see a little snapshot of your life on an internet board, they might take t and run with it -- paint you with a broad brush or whatever. THEY seem to not be nice people, but my nice nature won't let me judge them.
