Are you into Halloween?

To me, Halloween is a day, not a season. We carve pumpkins and pass out candy for trick-or-treat. I enjoy doing those things, but just one day. (I started a new job this year and people were talking about the "costume contest." Ugh. I don't want to wear a costume.)

I have some Halloween and fall decorations up, and some pumpkins out on the porch. We live on a side street with only 5 houses and never get ToT's. DH and I will get some candy and watch a scary movie with ODS. YDS is 14. He is going ToT with a group of friends for about an hour. He likes ToT candy more than the candy I buy, which is always super awesome candy that my kids love but to each his own.

No, we don’t do Halloween. My kids are little and love dress up so we take them to a couple of houses to trick or treat but other than that it’s a normal day. We don’t decorate for it. We do enjoy watching Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown but that’s about it.

We’re not into it too much these days. We do enjoy handing out candy, but don’t get as many kids as we used to. This year, due to an Amazon shipping error, I have twice as much candy than I planned on, so I’m hoping for good weather and lots of trick or treaters.

Not really into dressing up or horror stuff at all. Had a few small decorations but now just a light up jack o lantern.

Wear pajamas, fuzzy slippers, a wrap on your head and a cup of "coffee". Comfy and costumed.

I just told my DH yesterday that I’m sad that Halloween season will be over soon - I love the way the inside of my house looks at Halloween time. My decorations are happy Halloween decorations, not dark, scary and gruesome Halloween decorations. I love the warm orange glow everywhere. I’m sad to see it go. My Thanksgiving decorations are pretty boring in comparison. My two large trees go up before Thanksgiving, so then my house is both holidays for a short period of time

LOVE it! For me it's a month of horror movies and visiting haunts of every description. Sometimes building or working in a haunt, depending on the year. The scarier the better IMO.

Even as a child it was not my favorite. I did like the candy but dressing up was just ok. I hate scary movies and don’t like a lot of the gory decor that goes up in the neighborhood. I do love to decorate though and love the way a decorated house looks, but I decorate for the autumn season and not Halloween. Most of mine goes up mid-late September and stays up until Thanksgiving. There are a few pumpkins with faces and those will come down after Halloween.

Not especially and my kids have largely outgrown it, but I decorate for it (indoors and outdoors) just as much as I ever did. Trying to hang on to my kids' childhoods, if that makes any sense! (Lots of our decorations are Halloween projects they made in preschool and kindergarten, which bring back a lot of memories).

I really love Halloween, but I don't do much at the house for it. I don't get a lot of trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood anyway. My Halloween party is usually at Disney!

I love the Halloween "season" - colder weather, pumpkin spice everything, leaves changing color, etc. I decorated the front porch but nothing inside the house. Not a lot of kids trick or treat around here and instead my cul de sac holds a neighborhood party. We give out candy to the kids there but also bring food and alcohol to share. This year I'm making a lamb stew.

Yes I am a fan of Halloween... we decorate and participate in various activities. That said, I am not into the super scary Halloween stuff. I just like the fun stuff.

We decorate a bit but don’t put up Halloween decorations until the day before and they come down the next day and I don’t usually dress up but I absolutely love Trick or Treating. Our son aged out of it years ago but our neighborhood comes alive on Halloween. We live in the historical district so there are a lot of old houses semi close together which is why I assume people come here. Our quiet one way street becomes packed with people and we usually get between 400-600 kids. One street over from us get up to 900.

I have a friend who is totally into Halloween! She puts on a great show that night and we help out sometimes as scare actors. Our particular neighborhood doesn’t get a lot of traffic but her end of town is swamped! It’s very festive.

We used to be into it when the kids were younger. We would take turns giving out candy and taking the kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Certain neighbors always had big displays so we would hang out in their yards for awhile and look at all the stuff. Now that the kids are grown, we don't really do anything. We moved to a townhouse 3 years ago and we get zero trick-or-treaters here. It's usually just a normal evening for us.

I've never liked wearing costumes, but I work at a school and need to come up with something. A few times I was a Disneyland tourist. I wear a Disney shirt, ears, a fanny pack and a lanyard. No one really gets it but it's easy enough. The easiest was when our classroom staff was Three Blind Mice. We wore black clothes, mouse ears and sunglasses. This year I bought a Great Pumpkin shirt. That will be my costume.

I'm an empty nester. I don't decorate so much anymore but I love love love trick or treaters of all ages. Best part of Halloween!!
