Are you happy with your Nissan?

I have a 2000 Nissan Sentra with about 150k miles on it. It has gone through a few minor recalls which are no big deal but it has also had more major issues. My dad owned it before me and had a couple of expensive parts replaced, but last year I had to replace 2 o2 sensors plus the catalytic converter. It has had a few other smaller repairs over the years.

I would like you to know that Nissans are more expensive to repair than many other cars. Their parts are not always available in aftermarket type parts/different brands so just be aware. Overall, I think it has been a good car, but I would not purchase one again. I would definitely choose Toyota over Nissan any day.

We have a 2005 Murano that we bought brand new. No major complaints here. Have 85,000 miles and still going strong. However, have an itch for the 2013 Pathfinder but not before my Disney fix!

I was reluctant to buy a Nissan due to an accident we had back in 1997 with a Nissan Sentra. Our vehicle (Chevy Blazer) barely had a scratch while the Nissan suffered significant damage. So when it was time to find a new vehicle I was very, very reluctant to consider Nissan. However, after lots of research we decided that a Nissan Altima would work very well for us. I ended up purchasing a gently used 2010 Altima about 3 months ago. It was a demo model and had about 6,700 miles on it when I got it. I have since put on about 4,000 miles. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE my Altima! It handles really well, is great on gas and is fun to drive! It has plenty of room in the cabin for our family of 4 (which includes my 6'4" ~250lb husband and two rapidly growing pre-teen boys.) There is lots of trunk space as well.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending Nissan!

We're a Nissan family. We had a hiccup recently as my car was in for SIX weeks for warranty work - they could not figure out what was wrong with it at first and what the correct order was to fix everything in, hence it taking 6 weeks - but other than that, in 5 years of Nissan ownership and that being the only thing to ever happen to either of our cars, we've been very pleased with our cars. We have a 2007 Altima and a 2010 Sentra. We love the intelligent key feature too. I never have to even get my keys out of my purse for anything other than checking the mail lol.

DH has a Nissan Titan that has been great. As for the Juke, my coworker had one and unloaded it onto her husband because she didn't like it. Then she got an Altima.

Did she say why she didn't like it?

I have a 2012 Rogue. I needed an SUV that got decent gas mileage due to a long commute so I opted for one of the smaller compact SUV's (CUV). I test drove them all and settled on the Rogue. 6 months and 20K miles later, I LOVE it. Way exceeded my expectations. My girlfriend wants a Juke. I think they are butt ugly. I would look at a Rogue. For what I paid, it is steal!!

We are a nissan family. My first car was a 1987 nissan which I drove for 3 years then it sat for 2 years. When we went to sell it, it turned over the first try after sitting through 2 Syracuse winters! Next car was an Altima. Bought it with 17k miles and drove it for 6 years without anything but oil changes, 1 tune up, brakes, and a muffler. Sold it for almost 50% what I paid for it with 130K! Most impressive is my current ride, a pathfinder. I bought a 2010 in 2011 with 13k. After having in for 6 weeks, we were t-boned by someone going 55mph in a explorer. They hit my 7 year old's door directly and we rolled 1.5 times before we hit a metal utility pole. The car basically tore away in every direction but my 7 and 4 year old daughters and I WALKED away. Literally, 2 helicopters came to the scene and couldn't beleive we were sitting on the grass waiting for them. The EMT's could not thought my 7 year old was sitting in the middle seat and could not beleive she only had bruises from taking a direct hit. Needless to say I went out and bought another pathfinder the next week once the insurance came through! I will buy another Nissan without a doubt!

I'm a Nissan Girl. I started out with a 2001 Xterra. I loved it but with my commute it was starting to cost a fortune in gas so I traded for the Juke a few months ago. I LOVE my Juke. I am so happy with it. I have an AWD and I get about 27 mpg. It has great get up and go which I like. It did very well in the snow this past winter and my commute is nasty in the snow. It sits a little bit higher than a typical car so I had no trouble driving on the roads before they were plowed. There are a few quirks but so far it's been a great car. The back seat is a tad on the small side but my kids have enough room back there and they both still use a booster seat. The only thing is I wish the cargo area was a little bigger but I'm a master packer and have gotten pretty good about fitting lots of stuff in there.

We are a Nissan family. Our first experience was a 1993 Pathfinder - at the time I wanted a Toyota 4-Runner - my mechanic recommended the Pathfinder telling me Toyota was overpriced for what you got. He was right and I drove my Pathfinder for the next 11 years, when I bought a 2004 Altima, and DH continued to drive the Pathfinder. The frame finally rusted out in 2007 (New England winters). The Pathfinder made 2 trips to WDW from Boston. The Altima will be making it's 5th trip this summer.

Test drove a Juke and LOVED it. I was shocked how much I loved it. Now I am really struggling with which trim level... Any thoughts?

Base level (s) is nicer than I have now, so I should be happy with it. But boy some of those extra features are nice....just hard for me to justify the price increase.

I treated myself and I got the SL with heated leather seats. So nice during the winter. I would at the very least get SV so you have the different drive options; eco, normal, and sport; which you don't get with the S.

Honestly the drive options don't do a lot for me...terrible answer I know. I am most interested in the USB interface for my iphone, which is available w/ the sport package on the SV, and the heated leather seats- but where I am looking I am seeing about a 6k difference between the S & SL and I'm thinking I can deal with a less cool interface for my music and an aftermarket seat heater for that....but it WOULD be really nice.

We have an 2006 Sentra and a 2007 Armada love them both!
We also had a 1996 Sentra and 2001 Pathfiner all of them are/ were great!

I'm pretty sure, but don't quote me on it, with the S you still get the USB. It's in the glovebox, where the SL has it above the gear shift. Also I don't know how much it means to you but the S uses a regular key where the SV and SL have the remote keyless and also has the push button ignition. I love not having to search for my keys and fiddle with the keys in the dark. I just go up to the car and push the little button on the door handle to unlock it. Once inside you just have to push the brake pedal and push the ignition button. It is so convenient, I would spend the extra for that feature alone.

We've got a 2012 Altima. We bought it mostly because dh is very tall, and there are very few options in a sedan with as much headroom.

We love it. We've mostly owned Toyotas, but like this just as well. Our mechanic thinks it's an excellent value.
