Mine look like a drunk 2 year old wrapped them. :lmao:

If I wanted to be good, I could. ;)

I know how to hide the seam and everything.

But sometimes, I'm too lazy to trim the ends, so when those get folded and taped, it looks like my gift either has ears, is wearing earmuffs, or I thought it would be a good place to attach the wrapped batteries the gift doesn't need. LOL!

But the kids don't care.

Mine look like the 2-year-old already unwrapped them!

I have just two words of advice for the wrapping-challenged: Gift bags.

I am a terrible wrapper. DH is a fantastic wrapper. Next to his, mine look like a 3 year old did them.

My family makes fun of how I wrap things - I, too, have the drunken 2-year-old style. One year I got fed up and just put everything in the plain plastic store bags and that was that.

I am terrible too-- and I get so frustrated. So DH and I have had a deal for as long as I can remember. I pick the wrapping paper, hand him the present, he wraps it (an engineer- perfection is in his blood) and I put on the bow and tag. Some years if I can put his gifts in a nondescript box I sneak them into the pile and he wraps his own gifts! :lmao:

We actually have fun doing this. Tonight is our wrapping night here since we leave tomorrow. We were saying last night that we are looking forward to it. We usually have a some snacks and something good on TV and have a lot of fun.

LOL:lmao:

I'm actually good at it and I *like* to take the time to make them look perfect... but I just don't have that kind of time anymore. I just might gift bag it this year. :headache:

Yes, actually. My Dad was a perfectionist at many things, wrapping presents was one of the more useful skills he taught me. Mind you, it means I end up wrapping every gift we give each year (except the one DH gets me...and he usually doesn't bother wrapping it).

I'm not a bad wrapper. I just can't make the package look beautiful with ribbons and things. I admire those who can.

The only gifts I wrap are the ones for DW, and they are a pitiful. For a long time I thought it was a "guy thing", but I've learned that some men are excellent at wrapping. :confused3

I'm a terrible wrapper, and I have a ball being one!

When I sit down with a package, I honestly do try to do it right, but I'll never take any steps to 'learn' how to do it properly. I like it this way. It's like my golf game, every step is a new adventure!

How they look all depends on whether or not I have company when I wrap, and by company I mean :dogdance::cat: 8 extra paws:goodvibes

I love to wrap presents.

I like each one to look different so I have lots of ribbon (real fabric, not paper), bows etc.

I also like to put small decorative items on packages. It could just be a candy cane or other treat or it could be an ornament, lip gloss, nail polish, etc.

I wrap all the gifts except my own. This year that's around 50 some. My husband only has to wrap mine. He's very good at it but very sloooow!

Yes, usually, unless they're odd sized, or weird shaped.

Every year I tell myself I'm going to really do them up nicely, with intricate bows, etc. but I never do. One of these years...

I'm prettty good at the standard shape packages. But give me an odd-shaped toy, and it's gonna look hideous!! :lmao:

ETA: MIGrandma...get outa my brain!! :lmao:

I'm a good gift wrapper, but I hate, hate, HATE, doing it. I have had my christmas shopping done weeks ago, but I've just started wrapping. Don't know why, I just do. And, if possible I do use gift bags.

Yes, I am good at wrapping gifts. I'm slightly OCD and a perfectionist. :lmao: I almost ruined it for DH in our early years together, because I'd insist he wrap gifts "correctly" and not have a big wad of paper on the ends where he'd fold up the paper he'd cut too long. He used to get so upset with me, but he finally caved and started wrapping them my way. Now he's better at wrapping than I am. :lovestruc

Yep, that's me...I suck at it and I hate it...so honestly I don't care what they look like! I pretty much only give gifts to my girls so it's not a big deal.
