Are you good at wrapping presents?

I was about to post this very topic after I butchered all of DH's gifts this morning. I mean honestly, they look like they were wrapped by a BLIND drunk two year old. I'm awful. Luckily, DH is too, and what matters is the effort. I kind of think his terrible wrapping is cute! Mine...erm...total embarassment!

Yes.

I even have people at work bring me their wrapped presents so that I can tie the bow for them. My grandmother taught me and I find it easy, but I do fuss over my bows until they are perfect.

I'm good enough. I did have DS wrap a few & decided we needed a wrapping tutorial for him. Not acceptable. I don't do bows & such but do try very hard to get nice folded ends.

I love wrapping presents! Well, I get tired of it after a while, but I really enjoy taking my time, choosing papers, ribbons, and little extras to go on the packages.

I'm pretty bad at it. I try, but it always looks messy. One year we gave a Christmas gift to my MIL and she smiled at my two year old and said, I can see someone helped Mommy wrap this! :rolleyes1 Bad thing was....he hadn't! :lmao:

Mine look like a drunk 2 year old wrapped them. :lmao:

Good way to put it. This is what mine look like. I hate wrapping presents. Luckily Santa is a sloppy wrapper so he and I get along fine.

I am terrible! I wrapped them last night. There is so much extra wrapping paper on each box. its ridiculous. Dosen't really matter though since its my friends and family opening them and they know how I am wrapping challenged.

I'm prettty good at the standard shape packages. But give me an odd-shaped toy, and it's gonna look hideous!! :lmao:

ETA: MIGrandma...get outa my brain!! :lmao:

Just use the same philosophy. Side, side, triangle, triangle, up, triangle triangle up. Works regardless of the shape or size.

I'm pretty good at wrapping! Not the greatest, but they look pretty nice!

I, too, stink at wrapping presents. It's to the point where I ask my mother to wrap all gifts (except hers, obviously). I'm just not coordintated enough to wrap presents.

I used to be a pro - but I just don't have the patience anymore.. I may go back to it someday, but for now I just "get it wrapped".. Doesn't look like I was drunk or anything - LOL - but certainly not anything worth bragging about..;)

I could be good if I really tries but that would take three times as long as just throwing things into giftbags.

I'm a very good wrapper. Everyone asks me to help them. However I am lazy. I start off using lots of ribbons and bows and such but like 5 gifts in, I give up on them! LOL!

I am a decent wrapper. I can definitely go a perfectionist route, but have slacked quite a bit. The first Christmas with my DH, I told him that I preferred my gifts to be wrapped appropriately. And by appropriately I explained I didn't like bunched up paper and that it was most important that no "rough" edges be seen. Boy did I get crap from his cousin and brother! They made fun of me for being such a gift wrap perfectionist. Even threatened to wrap my gifts in toilet paper... so that year BIL got a gift wrapped in toilet paper and duct tape and the following year DH's cousin's gift was wrapped in coupons (cause he hates them , lol)

When I let the girls wrap their teachers gifts, I always wrote a little note on the tag that DD "helped wrap", so I wouldn't feel embarrassed that the teacher would think I wrapped horribly.

I know its terrible...
