If you are, don't hesitate. We were there July 4-11, 2003 and could not have been more pleased. During the hottest and most crowded time of year, the YC Concierge was like a blessing at the end of every day! From the moment we got there, having our room ready at 10:00 AM with gifts for the children already in place, to having the most beautiful view ever. (Room 5183 lagoon view, Boardwalk directly in front) Daily, the CM's were unbelievable!! Betty and Teresa were not only friendly and informative, but also offered help not even asked for. example: "Let me make sure you get a window table for your PS at Chefs De France." And it was done. The balconies alone are worth the extra bucks. The lounge was wonderful with all kinds of goodies for adults and kids alike. If there was every anything that you didn't see and felt compelled to ask for, it was immediately taken care of and done with a great attitude. Gifts were left almost every day for us......chocolate Mickeys, checkers sets, and towel animals every day. Some were even funny! (I did leave a tip daily for our maid service and also for turndown.) Amy is absolutely the best itinerary planner in the world. She had everything taken care of before we even got there! It will be hard to ever decide to stay anywhere else now and I've been to Disney about 11 times.

We have never stayed concierge before. What is a good tip amount and who? For our stay at the YC 11/14-11/21/03. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

I tipped $5 for morning maid service and 2-3 for turndown. There were 5 of us in the room though. The maid seemed extremely appreciative and I got the impression that most people don't do it. She even told me one day "you're such a nice person." I brought along Godiva chocolates and left a box at the concierge desk every two days or so. I also gave one to the maid and she seemed overjoyed. Sometimes, it's the little things that people enjoy so much anyway. We were definitely rewarded two fold for anything we did. We were even "surprised" on our last night by the concierge office when we were having dinner elsewhere. I also brought a gift for Amy at the beginning of our trip for all she had done for us ahead of time. I've heard of other people sending her flowers and such. She's the best at what she does.
