I believe that a nation has the right to defend its citizens from enemies who threaten to do them harm. Our constitution requires that of the Federal Government. I don't like it, because I don't like killing, but I believe that there are situations where war is the only option.

I don't think there's NEVER a legitimate excuse to go to war... especially if the war would come onto our own soil. Not a single attack per say, but if someone came continously. Doesn't mean I have to like it... but, there are times that it can be necessary.

I'm not anti war in general. But I am getting disillusioned with the Iraq war. I think there are times that a country needs to defend itself. I also think there are times when a country needs to defend others.

I hate war, but recognize that it's a necessary evil. I support a robust national defense coupled with a robust diplomacy.

I am completely opposed to the Iraq War, but I do support the campaign in Afghanistan.

I agree wth you,but I also think there are certain ideals worth fighting for..Ending Slavery in the south would be an example.
