Are YOU Addicted to Chapstick?

After seeing how many people have this problem, I thought the topic could have it's own thread

Hi, my name is Summer, and I'm addicted to chapstick AND lipgloss. During the day it's lip gloss, at bedtime or for bumming around it's chapstick. If I don't have something on my lips I FREAK out.

I also have an addiction to hand lotion. If I don't have any handy, I just use the chapstick on my hands LOL. Yes, I'm a freak

My name is Johnie and I am addicted to lip balm. My personal favorite is Burts Bees. It is the BEST!!! I have to have some in my pocket and in my purse. I am a mess when I don't have any.

I really did have an addiction to Carmex. I gave it up because my lips freaked out when I didn't have it. I forgot to pack it on my trip to New York City one summer and my lips went completely dry. I had used it every night when I went to bed and on that trip, I had dry, cracked,bleeding lips.

I happened to mention it to my doctor when I went in for something unrelated. He told me to stop using it for no reason. Now I only use Carmex if something else is causing my dry lips.

I don't like ChapStick and I can't stand anything on my lips during the day, but every night I absolutely have to put Blistex on before I go to bed.

Oh my goodness I worked with a lady like that! She always carried at least one tube, and seemed to have some kind of internal timer. Whenever it went off, she had to reach in and swipe on the Chapstick no matter where she was or what she was doing. It was kind of strange, but I guess we all have our quirks!

Yes, I am addicted to Lip Smackers!

I have them in all sorts of flavors. They are everywhere too: next to my computer, in my purses, in my desk at work, next to the bed, in the bathroom, etc.

I also collect other lip balms; Neutrogena, CO Bigelow and MAC to name a few. I can't live without them!

I absolutely have to apply vaseline to my lips at night and they aren't even chapped... I just like the smooth feeling of my lips in the morning after the vaseline has soaked in.

I'm addicted to Burt's Bees lip balm, other favorites are B&BW shea lip balm, Natural Ice lip balm, if I'm desperate I'll use Blistex in the green tube. I don't like chapstick

Another addict here! I have the tinted Burt's Bees for use during the day, and regular to use at bedtime. Even lipstick makes my lips feel dry now that I am used to the tinted balm.

My DH is an addict. He has them all around the house, in the cars and in his briefcase. I even carry one in my purse for him. I guess you could say I'm enabling his addiction. Right now I haven't picked up the addiction and it has been 11 years. Although, sometimes I have thought about starting.

My sister is addicted to chapstik, although she is getting better now that we live in Florida. I read an article that said that chapstik actually dries out your lips. That makes you feel like you need to put something on them. The only way to break the addiction is to go "Cold Turkey".
