Are you a button Mom?

Are you a button Mom?

  • Yes! I always wear my buttons!

  • No. I can't stand button Moms.

  • Sometimes. I only wear my buttons sometimes.

Results are only viewable after voting.
I'm a sometimes person. So far all I've had is dance buttons and we generally get them around Feb/March, so I'll wear it or hook it to my purse until after the recital at the end of April.

No, I'm not a button mom. I also don't have magnets on my car nor do I drive a minivan or SUV.

I don't think they are the thing to do in my circles. I've never seen anyone wear them.
I have no problem with it though.

I had to vote sometimes. When they were younger I wore it to the games and cpmpetitions, but as others have said, she would kill me now :rotfl:

I've never heard of it, or seen anyone like that before.

I personally do not wear them, or have DD's photo on things I carry or wear around.

You need an answer for "No, not a button mom but admire others who are - it's just not my thing." :)

:thumbsup2 I could not wear three buttons, and could not wear just one kid. There would be hell to pay.

You are reading subliminal messages into "button."

Don't :lmao: to hard and wet yourself, because I didn't see any Charmin on the shelf of your store! :teeth: (It absorbs the best! :thumbsup2 )

To the OP: Like you, I was an ocassional Button Mom. I would wear the buttons when my daughter was cheering or on the dance line (High school) at games. Likewise when my son was on the golf team for 3 years. I would put the buttons my clothing [coat] before the game/match and remove them afterwards.

I just got my DH's boston marathon photos - maybe I'll be a "button wife"!

(He would just die!)

You'd need two buttons -one for each side! :thumbsup2

I don't think I have ever seen anyone wearing a button with a kids picture in it...and I wouldn't do it anyway.

No, but man would it be a great form of punishment for a 16 year old! I may have to make one. :lmao:

:rotfl2: We threaten 15 yr old DS with this ALL the time! He laughs along but would most certainly NOT be amused if we followed through. I actually told him we would make t-shirts with his picture on them that said, "Our son"! :rotfl: Good "teasing" torture for a teen that age! I would NEVER do that though.

I actually remember during baseball season when DS was about 8 that they actually had the buttons made and for sale with your child's picture on them at the game! You were a "bad mom" if you did not go purchase your child's button. I purchased the thing and threw it in my purse! :p

I, too, have never heard of this. I wonder if it is a regional thing. I have not seen it here in the Northeast. Of course, my girls are not in the team sports. Maybe that's why I haven't seen it. No pictures taken for fencers and horseback riders!

Actually I've never heard of this, it's either not too common around here or else I'm very unobservant (both are valid possiblities, LOL).
My answer would be "No Way!" People would then know I'm responsible for that kid! LOL. Really, my dd would have died before she let me wear her face on a button and that's good since I'm sure I never would have fancied doing that.
But I do have her pic in my siggie, is that the cyber version? Somehow that seems so much more remote from real life it doesn't bother me.

No. But then again my oldest is only 3 so check back with me in a couple of years.

I have five kids, so I guess I'd look pretty funny. I can honestly say, however, I've never seen anyone wearing a button with a picture of their child on it - maybe a regional thing?

only place I have seen it is when DD did pop warner cheerleading a couple yrs back - and only at competitions....

I don't know if its regional but the first time I went to oldests soccer game I was the only one without a button!!! I just know I was laughed at and whispered about :sad2:
