Hello from windy PA



a very scary thing happened here today

DH caught the woods on fire...
Much worse (windy) than when I did it a few years ago
and banned myself from burning forever


I had to call 911
and three fire trucks and a brush fire truck plus the chief's vehicle
raced here

I counted 12 firefighters
(yes, I took pictures, but don't dare download while DH can see me)
It was very scary for the adults
and very exciting for the kids
and the entire neighborhood
who gathered in our yard

oy vey
DH is going to REALLY need a backrub
and many a beer
tonight

I got a bit of sun while kid watching today
and even more firefighter watching



i don't see new freckles
but I may be a tad sunburned
(or burned from the fire )

DS has played baseball since he was four

this is only the second year for DD10
and the third year for DD13 (she has been on stinko teams the last two years)

Swimming is their main sport, that season lasts five full months
with daily practice "available" to you

I am very sunburned! I was outside for about 4 hours...with a few breaks in between...I had no idea Twilight would be so addicitive!! It started off slow...but it is getting good now...I've read about 150 pages today!

and the woods has been soaked down


our house was never in any danger
just the houses on the OTHER side


the firefighters were thorough
