Are we there yet? Can we eat yet? YES to both!

Subbing! I-10 is one long endless road. It's the interstate adjacent to where I live, and I hate when I have to hop on it to go somewhere. And gas pretty much remains near 3 dollars year-round. Yuck!

Those Cinnamon rolls look delicious!!!:goodvibes

Oh they were, the chocolate croissant was good too, but no match for the Cinnamon roll!

I'm pretty sure this guy is a troll/spammer. They have 1 other post that makes absolutely no since the the thread it's on as well. Why do people do this?

I am so hungry now after seeing that food! I'm about to head out to the grocery store, and now I think I better eat something before I go!

Ya know, I was confused about that guy's post. I didn't get it, so I just ignored it. :confused3

I try to never go to the store hungry! Bad things happen to my checkbook!

We have never gone to Main St Bakery, now I know where some of our snack credits will be used, that cinn roll looks delish.

Loved the name of the trip report. does this mean there will lots of yummy food photos?

I took a pic of everything we ate, with the exception of the Earl of Sandwich, cuz we packed that for the trip home. So as long as photobucket cooperates, YES, lots of food pix!

Oh yes, just the smell in there makes me happy!

Oh I have to hop on board for this one, we were there the exact same time! (I'll be peeking to see if I see my family in the backgrounds!;))

I've never been to the bakery but that cinnamon roll....oh does that ever look good!

Awesome start, the food at MSB looks fantastic...I couldn't believe how big the treats from there were when we tried them for the first time.

Can't wait to hear more

I agree! Especially since the CR's are a snack credit! How did Disney Accountants let THAT one slip??? Glad they did, tho!

Hi! Love your TR so far! Main Street Bakery is one of the places I am hoping to visit next week- I have high hopes for the chocolate croissant. And I must speak up in defense of I10. While it does go on forever, there is almost never any traffic. Just nice, easy two-lane driving down a straight road. As soon as you turn onto I75, traffic starts to pick up. I'd take the serenity of I10 any day.

you are right about that! we usually hit traffic around Pensacola (depending on the time of day); in 2008 we hit it really bad around Tallahasse...but nothing like I75. ;-)

Main Street Bakery looks so yummy! we were suppose to try it out this past trip...but, by the time we finished up with the characters in the front of the park the line was already just about out the door...so, we just waited for lunch. But, I really wanted one of those croissants.

Subscribing! I'm excited to see all the holiday decorations and the food! :)

Welcome!

That's true - I think it's just really boring when you are DYING to get there!

We did hit traffic in Tallahassee, and Mobile this trip. And your'e right, by the time we left, the line was def out the door! I would have stood in it anyway!

After breakfast it was off to our first ride of the trip! It had to be Pirates of the Caribbean! I chose this one, bc I didn't want Jacob to experience Splash or Space, and then be let down by everything else! Plus he and Chris are HUGE PoC fans.

IMG_3148.jpg

There was no wait at all! We walked right on! Yes, I did say hello to George while we were getting on, and had to explain it to the kids and Chris. This is one of my top 5 rides, I think. We all loved it, and thought about going again, but decided to go on the Jungle Cruise instead.

This is the only pic that came out from JC. Our guide was right on her marks, bubbly, and FUN. She had everyone laughing when she said this guy was "Getting the Point" :lmao:

IMG_3145.jpg

On to Frontierland we went! We tried Big Thunder first, but it was broken.. This would be the case for most of our trip. :sad2:

Soooooo, Splash Mt it was! I put away my camera, but not before I took this! This was a walk on.

IMG_3150.jpg

Splash is one of my top rides too! I feel like you get the most ride time out of this one. I love the music and the details and of course, the drops!! Jacob wanted to ride in the back seat, and because of it, he and Deshea got DRENCHED! Chris and I were rolling! :rotfl: Let me add here that I ADORE the Disney Water smell. It's like no other water smell anywhere. Most people think I'm nuts when I say this, but I'll bet some of you know where I'm coming from!

On to It's a Small World. Now, this is not a fave of mine, but it seems to be a tradition, so Jacob had to ride it once. This was also a walk on.

IMG_3154.jpg

He wasn't impressed, and has no desire to do it ever again. ;)

Next it was Mickey's Philharmagic. I have no pics of this, but I LOVE THIS SHOW. To me, its Disney condensed in a 15 minute show. I love watching the kids, including mine, trying to reach out and grab the cartoon!

Haunted Mansion was next! One of my faves! Do ya'll see a theme here?

IMG_3153.jpg

We all loved this one. I remembered to stand under the lady with the umbrella and to look up when the lights went out.

The ride got stuck at the part with the hitchhiking ghosts, and Jacob was cutting up and even the people in the doom buggies next to them were laughing. That kid is such a clown sometimes.

Next, we crossed the park to Space Mountain. I took this on the way..

IMG_3156.jpg

Apparently Chris went on this when he was young, and it has remained his favorite forever. This was our first wait of the day, about 15 minutes or so. Not bad, but it was HOT in there.

It's confession time. I hate roller coasters. HATE HATE HATE. I nearly took the chicken exit. I did keep my eyes closed the whole time. Does anyone else feel like they're going to hit their heads on this ride?

As soon as we got off, the hotel paged us! Our room was ready!

We headed towards the exit and got our first little dose of pixie dust....
We stopped at a popcorn vendor near the exit, Jacob was going to use his unused breakfast snack credit. The guy serving was the sweetest little man, so we gave him one of our CM appreciation cards. He was so happy! He said that was the nicest thing anyone had done for him all week, and he upgraded our snack popcorn to the souvenier bucket at no charge! :wizard: popcorn::

Next it was off check out our home for the week at Caribbean beach!

We caught a bus back to the resort, found the room and Deshea and I got settled in while the guys brought all the luggage in. Last time we stayed here we had a king room, so I was a bit apprehensive about a double bed room. No worrying necessary. This room was huge and had a TON of storage. I forgot to take some pics of it before we messed it up, but here's a few afterwards.. there is the big dresser with 5 drawers, a huge closet with storage above, and a chest that sits in one corner, with a huge drawer. There is also alot of storage under the vanity. I was VERY happy, and thought we would all be comfy in the space.

We unpacked and freshened up. Then headed back to the bus stop to go to Animal Kingdom, for our 5:15 ressies at Rainforest Cafe! We ate here last trip on a whim, and Chris has been talking about the Lava Nachos for the last two years!

Up next, Animal Kingdom and Rainforest Cafe!

Oh my gracious! You guys were able to do a lot of stuff in so little time. No wait for Splash Mountain? Never had that happen to us before.

Yay for checking into the CBR and being happy with your room. Looking at your pictures makes me wish I was there right now!

The no-waits on Saturday were heaven... Had they only stayed that way....

Joining in! Our trips over lapped a tiny bit I was there 11/14-11/21. I am regretting not stopping at MSB!

Glad you're here! Did you see LGMH's on your trip??

No you are not boring! everyone is just so busy with the holidays...
and alot will read a post and not comment...

Off we went to Animal Kingdom!

I love this park..It always seems to have less people, and the ones that ARE there, seem to be in less of a hurry.

We didn't have a ton of time before our ressie, so we hot-footed it over here..

Yes, I sat this one out too. I went on it in 2008, and was... well... terrified. I"m a lightweight, no doubt.

EE did turn out to be Jacob's favorite ride, even though he changed his mind about a hundred times before we were done! We did wait about 25 minutes for this ride.

After EE, we didn't ride many things, we just wandered a bit, and we were all starving, so at about 4pm, we went to Rainforest on the chance that they could seat us early..... and they could!

I didn't get many pics in there that turned out, bc it's so dark, but here's what I did get.

IMG_3177.jpg

We were sat right next to this huge waterfall, which was beautiful but loud.

For dinner, Chris and I shared the onion rings, and his beloved Lava Nachos. I took this pic AFTER he had attacked the food. ;)

IMG_3182.jpg

The nachos were excellent. Gooey, warm, had lots of stuff on them, well worth the money. The onion rings, not so much. The onions on the inside were pretty undercooked. They do give a really tasty dipping sauce to go with them though. Both kids had burgers, which I got tired of taking pics of, truthfully. I think Jacob ate one steak, and the rest was burgers, for the whole trip. They did say the burgers were good enough. The fries were thin cut and crispy, very nice.

After dinner, AK was closing, so we headed out to the hotel. When we got there, I worked on my notes, Chris watched a DVD, and the kids went out to the beach and to check out the pool.

Up next.... Hollywood Studios!
