Did anyone else say these words during their child's parent-teacher conferences?

On the plus side, DS5's Kindergarten teacher's comments were that he was a joy to have in the classroom, very quiet and well-behaved, and a good example for the other students. Now, why can't he be more like that at home?

My son is the same way, won student of the month 1st month of school. If me trying to get him out of the house in the morning you would never believe it's the same kid.

OH yes! This would be my dd who is in 1st grade. I suppose if she is going to act up, I would rather it be at home, and not at school...but can't she cut me a break now and then?! :confused3 :teeth:

I have asked the teacher this same thing before. She said that she is asked that alot.

That's what DS's teacher said too!

I am always scared at interview time of what they might say and we get the same thing. I guess they just like to impress the teacher.

OregonDisney-- love the little pic in your siggy. That could be my DS doing that to my DD and then saying I didn't do anything.

I asked DD's teacher this the other night, and she mentioned that teachers have the kids during their best part of the day. Parents have them during morning rush, bewitching hour, and bed time. Lucky us!

That's my son! Very good at school, a monster child at home LOL.

Most kids know its safe to have meltdowns with the parents. They know that their Mom and Dad will always love them no matter what. YOur being a good parent when your kids feel safe with you.

As for us we can ever get the parents to trade places with us. ;) :confused3 :rotfl2:

DD6 doesn't act out much at home but she does give me issues with her homework at times (and it isn't like there is much!). I just tell her to take it up with her teacher as she is the one who assigned it! That usually quiets her down!
