Wife and I were cleaning out all our plastic bags...you know all the grocery bags and what not....anyway we found a few Disney bags from our Xmas 2005 trip and found 2 receipts from the VWL mercantile and got all giddy about it. We took a 10 minute walk down memory lane. Ahhhhh good times! It's almost like I can remember standing in line buying that overpriced orange juice and loved it.

Gosh we are dorks ...LOL

Not at all!!!! There isnt a day that goes by that I dont spend at least a few moments reliving one of my past trips. Its a great way to eep the Magic alive until the next trip!!! pixiedust:

Another Disney Dork here. Anytime I look at something I have purchased at WDW, I think about the trip and where I was when I bought it. :goodvibes

Now, now...don't be so hard on yourself. Truth of the matter is, we ALL do that! If this is being a "dork" than I love it.

Count me in as another Disney Dork!

Last year I bought a really nice shadow box (black velvet background with a nice black frame) and made a Disney Shadow Box, complete with some park hopper tickets, receipts from my favorite stores and restaurants, a paper plate from Cosmic Rays, a hotdog sleave from Casey's Corner, fast passes, and other Disney goodies. I actually take a mini-vacation some time and just stop and look over the shadow box, just to take a little walk down Disney lane. Ahhh. :)

Yep. Count me in as another dork. :confused3

Looking at the receipts has some sort of weird redemptive feeling to it, as if to say, "I spent way too much money, but boy, was it fun!"

I am such a Disney "dork" that I can't bring myself to throw out those plastic bags. I must have a dozen of them in all sizes. They are just too cute to get rid of.

 Count me in as well but i don't need no stinking receipts I 'm surrounded by my Disney stuff .

I'm out with DD and am thinking no you can get that at Disney when we go in JUne well as we walk out of the DS with the bag in hand I think well it's not like there's not more to buy down there. :lmao:

Count me in... :cool1:
I have a basket I keep bags in. Just last night i needed a bag and I dug through until I found a Disney bag...

I also have a receipt from my Hola Hoop (one of my favorite drinks) from Petals Pool Bar in my purse. Every once in a while I find it and I get a big Goofy smile and can't wait to go back. :hyper:

Ha! That's nothing. A few trips ago I bought a cookie in the food court the day I left. Instead of eating it I wrapped it up and decided to save it for later, you know, savor the magic. I got home and couldn't bring myself to eat it. I kept that cookie for about two or three months and by that time, of course, it wasn't worth eating.

So believe me, you're not alone.

Wow..and we talked about framing our receipts. We are not alone :thumbsup2

Count me in as another Disney Dork. Not only did I keep all my receipts from our last trip. I also kept our boarding pass electronic tickets, parking receipts, and countdown calendar. For this next trip, I have made a planning diary that I have included all my emails between my travel agent and myself. I have to hide all of this stuff from my husband. He thinks it's obsessive and not behavior of a sane person. Oh, well, if that what he thinks is crazy, then stick me in the Disney Looney Bin.

Hello, my name is MouseWorshipin, and I'm a Disney Dork!

I do that, too. I have my big bag (the one you have to buy, with the cloth handles) full of all my other Disney bags...so cute!

I save all of the soaps and shampoos from our hotel (POFQ) and even started making those cute towel baskets for our toothbrushes. I've actually been using my mickey soaps in the shower so I can smell like I'm still at WDW. Wish they would make lotion too. I also save bags, I especially like the little paper bags from the bakeries as they make cute lunch bags. Right now in my desk at work I have a stack of Disney napkins for cleaning up my coffee spills. Isn't it great how the little things make you happy? You can count me in - I'm proud to be a Disney Nerd!

Oh no, do I really have to agree that none of this is weird?

Well I have to admit that I really liked the Disney plastic store bags, and I didn't want to throw them away when I got home, so now, ALL of my smaller trash cans are lined with those bags  . I turned them inside out, so the design would show. When they start to get a bit grimey, I'll just replace them with other Disney bags!

This is too funny!!! :rotfl: This passed weekend I was cleaning out the cupboards and found napkins from the 25th anniversary of Disney!!!! I thought that I was the only one who saved all the Disney recipts and soaps and straws and paper!!! I have used the bags from Disney to wrap Christmas presents with!!! I have one large (actually it is HUGE!) that I plan on taking back to Disney to get more stuff to save to find in the next 25 years!!!!! :rotfl2:

You're certainly not alone. I get so sentimental about things, especially our Disney trips. I always like it when I stumble upon one of my old receipts or one of the Mickey shampoos falls off the shelf while cleaning. It always makes me smile!

:rotfl2: This thread makes me smile.

You wanna know what I do? When the trip is over, I keep our expired park tix in my wallet so that I can pull them out and look at them every now and then. I think about what FP kiosks these very tix have been thru, then I can take a 5 minute "vacation". Yep... I am a Disney nerd

You guys are not dorks or nerds.
I think it is clinically in the "Geek" catagory with "Dweeb" undertones.
We re-use our Disney bags as a laundry bag for other trips.
