What do you think? We are staying for 14 nights, but there are a few days that I'm specifically worried about!

Thurs, Sept 28 - Epcot all day, Illuminations at 9pm, break at hotel during the day. Will it be busy and is this the day before the F&WF starts?

Sat, Sept 30 - Animal Kingdom. Bit worried about this as isn't it set to be a pretty busy weekend? Doing DQ at night too.

Sun, Oct 1 - Magic Kingdom. REALLY WORRIED about this one :lmao: It's my birthday too so thought it would be fun to go here. But teamed with busy weekends... EMH and shows and parades... will it be worse than hell? Bear in mind we're used to going off peak season :rotfl: also going to PI at night (just adults  ).

Those are the only days I'm thinking of switching :) ATM we have 5 free days on our schedule where we usually just pick where we feel like going on the day, so switching isn't a problem at all. Sometimes we just wait and hop on whichever bus comes first!

(We have visits to both water parks planned BTW so we'd rather not switch to them if possible!)

Thanks :wizard:

I don't think TGM would have a big problem with any of your choices (hint, hint).

The good news is that the parks generally shouldn't be very crowded at that time of year. :thumbsup2

Haha!

I considered getting TGM but not sure if we can justify the expense! We're not big planners - we set off with a couple of ADRs, and a general plan for at least half of the trip which is subject to change. We never plan routes around parks, it takes out the spontenaity!

That's why we haven't bought TGM - or is it really worth it for us non planners?!

IMHO TGM is good for non-planners because his style is more laid back. Just some general tips, not as scheduled as the Unofficial Guide (which I generally prefer, since I'm an uber-planner ;) ).

I used both for our last trip and felt they complemented one another. They bring different things to the table.

Sorry for the threadjack. :surfweb:

We are going the exact same time really, I was not worried about any of these types of shcedules, should I be? My BD is the 2nd :)

We went in mid to late September almost 2 years ago, and the crowds were very light. We walked on to most of the rides with no wait at all, and the park was so empty that it felt like we had it to ourselves. It was also HOT. We couldn't spend the day in the park because of the heat, and the parks closed early because it was the off season. However, the crowds were so light that I think we were able to do as much in the short amount of time we had to tour as we did when we went in July.

So, in short (too late, right?), I think your plans look great, but add in some flexibility for the heat, too.

OP< I just want to say that 2 of your days are the same as mine...Won't say what sites I subscribe to to help me make that decision, but it seems like VERY good choices ;)
Have a great time!!!

DH and I went last September and will be there in 24 days...September is usually LOW crowds...you should be good!

Hope you enjoy your birthday at MK!!! :bday:

That's a great relief :)

*whew* LOL!

I'll have a look into TGM - I have the unofficial guide from 2004, ordered the new one but it hasn't yet arrived *sob*! I honeslty thought I'd made a huge mistake over that weekend but if I have it seems I'm not the only one ;)

Thankyou
