Are we going to be ok just hopping on the Disney bus from LAX?

I am a big ole planner and the idea of just looking for a Disney bus at LAX and hopping on seems almost crazy to me. :scared1: I have my coupon printed out and ready to go but it seems like we should be doing something else. I know that Disneyland transportation is different than Disneyworld but it seems like sitting and watching a happy video on the way to the park would be nice.

We typically drive to Disneyland so I'm a bit out of my element. I have done my reading and frankly, just don't feel like messing with a taxi or a limo. Just get me to the DLH without too much hassle. Am i missing something?

Nope....it's just that easy. We had never been to LAX and we found the bus so easily. If I remember correctly we paid when we got off the bus.We had the coupon too and purchased the round trip ticket and paid with our Visa.
The DLH is the first stop too!

Just making sure you know....

It's not Disney transportation; it's run by Grayline, and goes to many of the hotels/resorts in the Disneyland area. There's no video that I've ever noticed.

Just make sure that it's the actual Grayline Disneyland Resort Express bus that you're on; showing them the coupon, or a pre-paid voucher, is the best way to do it. But there have been sneaky companies that have been known to be just vague enough that you think your'e getting on the right bus, and then ultimately they aren't the right bus. This is possible because not ALL Grayline DRE busses are actually decorated, and are plain and boring.

So just be SURE! Surprises aren't good with that sort of thing. :)

Yes, make sure you are on the right one. There are plenty of "reasonable facsimiles". We used to prepay online $99 round trip for family of 5 or less.

But we have decided that all the stops and waiting forever isn't worth it to us so we are doing a private limo. Pretty decent price for not having to wait.

What limo company are you using and how much is it? I am looking at getting a limo for the 5 of us but have been quoted $220.

I am the VERY same way!! I was a little sick over the whole but thing but it was VERY easy!! When you exit there are green signs that list several transportation companies - you just go out and stand on that island.

MANY companies in ratty looking shuttles will come by yelling asking if you'd like a ride. Some will have the Disneyland Express name printed on the side. If you don't feel pixie dust don't get in!! :rotfl:

We knew we were in the right place when a full size Disney wrapped coach pulled up! The driver got out and chatted with us (not yelling out the window) and loaded our bags. The ride was quick and comfortable. The first stop was Disneyland Hotel where a ticket agent hopped on the bus and took our payment. Then shortly we were at our hotel! :yay:

My hubby ALWAYS wants to rent a car but he is sold on the shuttle now. It has all around been a great experience. Hope this helps!

Thanks for all of your replies. I think we are going to go with the shuttle but will just make sure we are on the RIGHT Disney Express. ;) Thanks for the heads up. We are staying at DLH so being the first stop will be fine. :thumbsup2

We paid for the round trip and it ended up being quite a bit cheaper with the discount. They gave us a voucher for the return trip.

We will be coming from LAX next year, there will be 15 of us. Do we book? Is it online? My real concern is going back to LAX at the end of the trip. 15 people and 30 bags. How can we make sure the coach has enough room for all of us? :thumbsup2

The buses that DL Express uses will be able to handle your group. This page has a number you can call for group discounts: http://graylineanaheim.com/shuttles.shtml
