Wondering if anyone else has ever done it.... My husband and I really need a GETAWAY!!! Working round the clock since way before the holidays..( we have a restaurant) and with two small kids, we never see each other seems like...I 'm sure some of you can relate....

Anyway....I was checking into possibilities locally...NYC for two nights, Baltimore, Hershey etc.....and really where we want to go iS ....well you know where....

We already have the points and days left on park hoppers...so it really would just be the airfare and meals...maybe even less than doing something else locally....

Has anyone done this short of a trip when you had to fly...I'm talking only 3days and 2 nights....We have a 7 year old so we have'nt done anything ADULT at WDW in a long time...even 2 nights out to dinner would be a treat!!

Am I crazy for thinking this way...or should I start looking at airfare and make the call to ms on Mon morning...

Thoughts???

Book it quickly. It is definetely worth it. USAir has fares of $138 round trip for travel in the next 3 weeks. How could you resist?

Enjoy

Also be sure to check the specials -- one airline has a special on where if you fly two segments on a route flown by JetBlue you will receive a free flight anywhere they fly. (I think it's with Delta, or could be US Airways -- anyone know the specifics?)

I've always wanted to be impulsive and do that!
Besides it's only a 2 1/2 hr flight to get to WDW from from PA.
Just think, you could be stuck on the I-95 that long just to get to Baltimore.
If you can find an early flight out and a late flight back I think it would be worth it!

I dont think its crazy at all!! In fact I was just standing in the shower thinking how nice it would be to fly to WDW, stay at a DVC resort and fly back the next day. Of course spend sometime in one of the parks. My DW is on a scrapbooking 4 day trip with friends and I was thinking what me and the kids could do tonight.

Sounds like a plan to me. No I dont think your plan sounds crazy at all!! Mine on the other hand:crazy:

I don't consider it crazy in the least----I've given thought to flying to WDW for lunch some days ! :teeth:
I say go for it......btw, hello  from someone who's less than hour from you.

worth it !!!!! Go for 2 nights, 3 days and have a blast. Do Not set an itinerary, go and do as the mood hits you.

Any trip to WDW is well worth it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say do it, if there is availability.

But on Friday, when I called MS, Janey told me that they would be closed tomorrow (Monday, MLK Day). You will need to call on Tuesday.

We made reservations a little more than a week ago for a long weekend trip at the end of the month. We checked online for cheap airfares, made reservations at OKW for Fri, Sat, and Sun nights then went back and purchased the airline tickets. I cant wait to get away from this below average cold here in MD and enjoy some Florida sun!

Stop thinking and Book It! I suprised my wife for our anniversary, we are going down on the 30th, First flight out of NY, in the parks by noon and have dinner at her favorite restaurant, Chefs De France, then spending the nite and the next day at the parks and catching the last flight back to NY. Two longs days, but well worth it, it will be our first time at WDW with NO kids.

PS We go back two weeks later with the kids!

DO it! We've gone for about that long and we have a longer flight! Or better yet, maybe you can swing just one more day?;)

Call me crazy but I do just that about 3 - 4 times a year. I usually fly out of Detroit on a Thursday night and come home on a Sunday. I just did it in December and am doing it again in Feb.

Best way to beat the winter blues!!!

A trip to WDW is never crazy. GO and have a great adults only time (that actually sounds like a very good idea!)

I actually fly on my shorter trips - on the longer ones I drive (I bring more that way) - so go for it!!!

just make you can get the dvc reservations and the plane reservations together - do it at the same time - put the airlines on the computer and get MS on the phone....

Have a great time!!!

Sounds like you desire a trip away from your restuarants and your off spring!

Well...I did it!!

Earlier today I called ms and booked a studio at OKW ( only available) for Feb 22 and 23...and then the airfare...and then the babysitter..( my mother)....

This is a big deal for me!! I knew where do post to get a little convincing that this plan was okay...lol...

I'm excited at the prospect of staying at OKW , even though not my first choice, eventually wanted to try all the resorts...

anyway ,,thanks for all of the encouragement !!

I knew you guys would understand....only a month left.....

Congrats! BTW, you may want to waitlist for your first choice. I just got Feb. 18 & 19 on Friday. Rooms do tend to open up right before the 30 day window. if not, I am sure you'll have a terrific time and enjoy OKW
