Are U Going in 2006? When, Where and Why? An out-of-curiousity question!

SSR Dec 9-16! Last December in Chicago was COLD and I've heard that the crowds are low that week, so it seemed like a no-brainer to us. Next year we'll go for MNSSHP!

Oct 8-9 -- Two-bedroom at SSR (home resort) with DW, DSiL & DBiL. Then kick out the in-laws and stay two more days in a one-bedroom with DW. Primary objective is F&W. Then spend two nights at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios.

Dec 3-9 -- One-bedroom at SSR (may switch to VWL, if possible) with DW to see the Christmas decorations.

We have booked our March trip for a split stay at SSR and the Contemporary Resort. My May 14th thru 22nd is a stay at the CR. Our December 30th trip is for 11 days.We are doing another split stay between the CR and SSR.

We're going twice this year. We'll be staying at our home which is BCV. We love it there so much that we aren't ready to try anyplace else. We're counting down to our April trip!!

We are going Dec. 8-17. Two days at CSR and seven at SSR. One son has a chess tournament the first weekend and we are adding a week on to our trip. We love SSR and are ready to go back after trying other DVC's the last two trips.

Sept 16-23 Disney cruise to Costa Maya and a double stop at Cataway Cay.

Reason: Our second honeymoon and first trip home!

West Coaster here so we only can make one trip to the World and this year we'll need it. Our daughter is getting married Sept 30th.

Oct 28 - Nov 5, 2 bedroom at SSR with DH and another couple (DH cousin). We like that SSR is newer and close to DTD. Dates were picked by the couple going with us, they want to go to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, MNSSHP, Kennedy Space Center, Cirque du Soleil (first trip for them).

Nov 5 - Nov 7, will try for a 2 bedroom at VB to relax after WDW before heading back to the real world.

June 18-24 2 Bedroom Beach Club to see what all the hype is about Stormalong bay
June 24-June 30 Grand Villa at HH. I hear on wonderful it is to go to HH or Vero after WDW to relax so we are alternating WDW and HH or Vero each year.

Next year we are doing Vero and the Disney Cruise. We can not wait.

March 26th-OKW-1 bedroom-Me, My DD, My Mom-Spring Break fun!
Booked it less than 30 days out and all MS had available was OKW and SSR. Been wanting to try OKW and see if the rooms are really "so much bigger" After this stay, we'll only need to try SSR to have stayed at all of the WDW DVC properties!

December 21st-29th-VWL (Home Resort)-1 bedroom-Me, DD, DH-Annual Christmas Vacation

May 19-28 VWL 2 bedroom DH, Me, DD4 and DS1, DUncle, DAunt, and DCousin (her graduation). We're also celebrating our 10 anniversary (one month late). Since we got married at WL, we had to stay there!

Dec 2-9 VWL 2 bedroom DH, Me, DD4 and DS1, and DH's best friend with his family. Our kids are about the same ages, so this should be a lot of fun. VWL because we've always wanted to be there for the Christmas decorations, oh and DH refuses to stay anywhere else. I WILL eventually get him to try the other resorts.

Just for future booking ideas... I was wondering who is going to a DVC resort this year? When (Dates)? Where (which DVC and unit size) and Why (the main reasons you chose that particular resort)?
Our party hasn't decided when or where and are still trying to figure out why!!!
Party=Me, DH, DD9 (disabled), DD1 and possibly DGM (older) :O)

This is a very interesting thread, in other words if I don't want to be at DVC when certain others are there, I know what dates to book,

We are going Aug. 22-29. and will be staying at VWLin a 2bdrm. Always wanted to stay at WL and after visiting and buying DVC in Oct '05 knew we had to stay there.

We are staying in a 2 bedroom at BCV from June 9-June 18. It will be me, DH, DS (15),DS (19) and DD(22).
Why? I thought the kids would like the boardwalk, being close to Epcot and Stormalong Bay.

We arrive at SSR on Saturday, March 25th. There are 9 of us going and we are staying in a Grand Villa. This is Spring Break for my children and my nephews so it works out well timing wise.

Yes, Lord willing, we will be at WDW early December, CAN'T WAIT! May get slammed here, but what I will tell you that my DH and I are owners at SSR---love it, beautiful place, will stay there, but WVL won our heart on our very first trip and we've never gotten over the beauty of that place----so, even though we are SSR owners, anytime and I mean ANYTIME---summer, spring, winter---you get the picture, we can transfer ressies to VWL---that's EXACTLY what we will do----
